And cube, ask for numbers for outreach so you can noodle it out with someone cause there isn't usually much crosstalk at meetings

They are all bigbook based meetings, check out the wednesday SLAA meeting even if you dont identify as a sex and love addict, its my home group, its really good and we run a meeting every day of the week, mostly SLAA and coda bit some others too

Wow you must really be hurting, do you have a sponsor? I'm going to go against the grain and say dont bother counting the days, its not about how much time since your last drink but the quality of the time, have you been content or in sodryiety hating being sober

You need to be working a program, was it Gods will that you post that last post?

There's a mens codependent anonymous meeting tonight that has some good sponsors if you need one, I won't be going because I have a different meeting at the same time, but I can give you the link

One main issue with not drinking for me is I’m awake all the time.  Which is fine if you don’t have a set repeating schedule to abide by.  Drugs for sleep seem counterproductive.  Not sure how to make this work without getting worn down to an eventual nub..

What you have done is neither special nor a catastrophe. You simply drank...the most natural thing for an alcoholic to do.
Not drinking is unnatural for a drunk and that is why we take things on a day by day basis, neither caught up in the past nor anxious about the future. None of us have more than 24 hrs sobriety, AA taught me that and that it comes down to what you do with today.

I always start my day with a prayer to the God of my understanding asking for relief from a drink or a drug and then asking to do his or her will....ended by saying some prayers for family members and others that are struggling both in and out of these rooms.

With this philosophy, I have strung together 8431 days at a time in succession without a drink......Trust God, Clean house, Help others....this is the prescription that Dr Bob used to write to his new pigeons. It is the 12 steps broken down into 3.

Don't be hard on yourself and if you want to talk on the phone, just :pm: me. I'll try to check in here a little more often.:sunny::peace:

Yes its an open meeting, open means its available to anyone who wants to learn more, its not a normal meeting theres no sharing its presented by facilitates, so you dont need to even identify

If you have a way to print out the workbook this last minute do that and you can take notes down, we all have our work books mucked up

The main facilator is hilarious, very crude sense of humor, ive seen people get offended and rage quit the workshop

I might check it out do you have to complete the steps in order? I just don’t think I’m powerless I definitely struggle but if I decide I don’t want to drink I don’t. Problem is I never don’t want a drink completely but I worry about it doing damage so don’t drink daily. I’m trying to quit though because I need to I’m quitting dabs to and using edibles. I don’t want to die from the stuff I need to switch to oral nicotine too.

I don’t know maybe learning about the steps will help but from what I remember it wanted me to like make amends to people and I’m upset with them for stuff. I would attend meetings if it was anonymous the problem is I have people watching my every move to go to a meeting I would need to be watched. It’s not really anonymous then more like confessions. It’s stupid I can go anywhere for up to an hour any time but if it’s over an hour I have to be supervised. I can get alcohol in that time but it’s frustrating because I can’t get a job or meet people or have a girlfriend. If I get caught drinking bad things would happen to me. It’s why I really want to quit.

Its suggested that you complete the steps in order, theres many online fellowships you can join if you can't leave the house, you can join mine if you wish. All the people presenting a step are from my fellowship if you want to get an idea what its like

Yes making amends is step 9, but you dont have to get stuck on that step, its said we began living this life AS we cleaned up the past, my sponsor took me through 10 and 11 before I finished my 9

If your schedule allows check out the wednesday meeting, its my fellowships home group meeting, dont worry its not an AA meeting, its open and we only talk about the bigbook
