Looked in FAQ and couldn't find my answer.

When making substrate with straw and compost what shoudl the ratio of straw to compost be?

approx 75% straw 25% shit by volume, i just eyeball mine, add shit to straw and mix round good. basically you want the straw to go kinda brownish all ova. you dont want clumps of poo, it will take forever to colonise.

I agree with not having clumps, but the more dung you have the faster it will colonize. I'd recommend 40% dung but 25 would be fine aswell.
