Search on this site. The people that wrote the tek are part of the community, I think. It's being done a lot. From what I hear, an investment of 100$ could provide you with quite a lot of spirit molecule.
I know that when my time comes to smoke dmt, this will be the way.

Bottom line is that they are probably OK but not particularly potent. The potency range of sclerotia, especially commercial sclerotia, is much wider than it is for cubes. Often people report that "special edition" stuff such as "hollandia" is more potent than generic atlantis/mexicana/tampanensis, possibly due to the tendency of sellers to re-name anything potent they are producing.
For example, I remember eating some good Atlantis from McSmart a few years ago, but I think it's slightly weaker these days as "new" products came in to replace it as the strongest in their range, first 'Dragons Dynamite' and then 'High Hawaiians'.

I would only bother doing this if you start having trips which are too strong at the beginning and then tail off quickly, or you want to do a "staged-ascent" of a high dose. With sclerotia, the potency is unpredictable; I don't want to be committed to a big dose and then find out too late that its vastly more potent than my previous trip. If I had 15g or 20g i would just eat it in one go.....if it was 30g I would want to know how potent it was before eating the lot!

I don't think the piss tests are normally set up to detect psilocybin anyway...unless you work in NORAD or something

Dried sclerotia are, in my opinion, much easier to eat and dose and have very little after taste. I usually grind them to dust and put into orange juice, cranberry juice, or on a peanut butter cracker.
Look into cultivating your own sclerotia - galindoi are very easy and stealthy, have awesome yield, and work great. Tons of OEV and CEV, tons of euphoria, trippy headspace, insights, etc. All the classic cube experience is there, with less nausea, less mind fuck, and more stealth.
Also, if you grow your own, you can let them mature for ages and get nice and strong and funky. My oldest batch was harvested at 15 months! Still perfectly healthy.

Ill try eating chocolate next time, it took a couple throat drops last time to get rid of it.
Im leaning towards tea, I have seen a few recent articles on alcohol extraction.
Your probably right about the potency. With me there are too many variables:
1st time doing truffles
1st trip since 1991 ( other than salvia in 09), my body and mind has changed, I don't
react well to alcohol or pain killers like I used to. Maybe the same for shrooms.
They do test for psilocybin, LSD and mescaline in piss tests. I have been told they can generally find it within 1 week after tripping. With weed, it is 10 days-3 weeks. With
cocaine it is less than 48 hours. Truckers, bus drivers usually have the most thorough
drug tests, and are tested often randomly.
For me the magic was I realized I could change the way my spirt interacted with my mind and body. That was the trip, all visuals, feelings and realizations were my reactions to me
altering the way my spirit interacted with my mind/body. I NEED to find this again!

Im glad to hear dried sclerotia works, the vendor I got them from did not recommend this,
but I figured he wants more business. I live in USA, concerned about getting busted for
mail ordering truffles.
If I cultivate, Im leaning towards shrooms because I had better trips with them, and there
are more varieties of psilocybin mushroom then there are truffles. In the past I realized
some varieties worked much better than others. I need to have better trips than the ones
I just had to justify the effort of setting up cultivation.
