there is realy no telling what the wate percentage s in a given san pedro. cacti in general have this amazing ability to survive with water stores running very low, or to accumulate quite a lot of water for the future.

i do not have any fgures for you, but i can tell you that i've had some cacti come near to death form lack of water who weighed about 2/3 of what tey did before, so you can see how variable the watr content must be.

and i almost frgot, you must also consider the dameter of the length you are dealing with. a one foot cuting could be anywhere from one and a half inches to eight inches in diameter. this makes quite a bit of difference in mass, so it would be impossible to even guess the weight of a one foot cutting wthout knowing the diameter.

yes, that sounds about right, excluding the inner pith, which does not have nearly as much water in it [is mostly cellulose] and wouldn't be consumed.

if the inner pith was removed prior do drying/weighing, then 1/10 sounds close enough for speculation. i wouldn't use this number to figure dosage.
