I've never dried them whole, just diced, and they weren't really like rocks at all.  A little tougher than something like roasted almonds, but not much, and not quite as much of the sour in the back of your throat taste that I've had from fresh (although I still greatly prefer the taste of fresh sclerotia to dried mushrooms, and I dunno if you've ever tried to eat fresh mushrooms but that shit is super-gross)

fresh mushrooms taste alright actually compared to dried ones

Tamp fruits have a lot more flavor wet, and it's an excessively bad flavor. It's pretty easy to just swallow the mushrooms whole once they are dry cuz they're just like little spaghettis but you have to eat a thousand of them

Nice workk Teemo!

Atl#7 clone 1st flush.
Idk what the hell happened to this tub.. I guess I need to work on dialing it in. Hopefully 2nd flush matures healthily.
Anyway here's the 1st flush..

Some biggins..

Found sclerotia at the base of the fruits, and a few at the surface.

Sclerotia broken/torn from the base.

Overall...

:prangers:

When do you like harvesting them btw? I'm waiting for one or two to spread their caps to take some prints also..

Oh ye, how much is the good/heroic dose for the fruits? And is the effect stronger than sclerotia?

They lookin' sooo fungidelic! Kinda remind me of cheese strings for some reason lol :lmafo:

High, Teemo! Thx!

I like to harvest them after the caps flatten out, but before the spore deposit.

I prefer the fruitbodies over sclerotia any day!

I usually eat 2G of tampanesis. Wasn't going for a mind blowing experience or anything though.
I've only experienced 1.5g of galindoi and they seem along the lines of 2g of tampan..

I'll dose here soon in the near future && will report back.

Cool,  have 2 ATL barley jars with snail foot looking things on the glass, but those jars have bottom half uncolonized.

Worried about bacteria with those,  I really have to stop germinating straight to grain.

So just a dump right now but maybe I'll organize it. This is the harvest from all the little containers I've had lying around since January/February, about 9 in total, equal to about 4-5q of spawn.

The final harvest was 350g fresh. The big subs were really full, didn't have time to weigh them individually or anything but they all seemed about equal.

Overall I'm pretty happy with this species that was supposed to be pans. I got a nice handful of fruits and a bunch of stones, it's been fun.

Fantastic Mr. fox, I would be curious about your thoughts on Chicon Nindo fruits. My guess is they are stronger than the tampanensis and galindoi, but I really haven't seen a comparison of the three. Did you post a pic of the Chicon Nindo fruiting? They are a pretty mushroom.

I got no fruits after my first batch. I honestly neglected it for a very long time, I misted it at least once a day but it was always super dry. I noticed that a poly had fallen out so I think that was contributing. Produced some lovely stones but no prints unfortunately sorry mate.

I do think you have something coming in the mail from me however.

I'm liking the looks of tampanensis.

BTW.....Stonesun is correct.  These are just as easy as cubes so keep it up and you'll get fruits.
