Harvested the Rancho Agosto, surprisingly easy, just tip over and lift up a pile. The hard part was how delicate they were, especially after drying.

These are supposed to be stronger than Tampanensis, any idea how much.

Honestly this one is 100% experience. That mold is nearly identical to the mycelium you want, it’s very difficult to tell them apart. Yours could be myc mixed with mold even. I think the easiest way is that white mold usually has slightly thicker hairs and they tend to be a little crooked or curly.

Identifying bad spawn was by far the most difficult part of growing for me. After a while you’ll just get a feel for it.

Thanks for taking the time to clarify. I get it now.

I can see the "disorganised" growth in this one from rsssk

In my own jar, the leading myc could be ATL7 (could also be Oyster) and there is myc that looks more mold like toward the top left. Else, I have done some good work to clean up a mold culture and it has nice thick strands that are not straight enough and overlap a lot.

Why I was asking about Oyster... This pic from thirdeyewild looks exactly like my jars from months ago.

I definitely and often use Cubensis-eyes when looking at mycelium. I dumped the jars above as suggested. I am fortunate that a P. Tampanensis made it to this side of the pond - first print to make it in many months. Many thanks to SirPsycho. Spores are already on agar.

This a is a straight cased "Mex. A" jar.

I have some ATL 7 going from MS (Shroomery sponsor who's always given me clean spores).

Was thinking of going from half pint millet (what I germinated on) to GLC and then to rye grass seed (in bags).  Let the donar jars recolonize for stone production and cloning.

Or I could grain to grain but then I'd have to pick millet out later?

Any thoughts?

Are they as sweet smelling as they look?

Can anyone enlighten me on these
#1 and #2 are JMF strain and I've done the neglect tek and today I feel like it's 100% colonized, do I put it in a lighted area with another shoebox dub on top.
#3 Is same strain but the middle I'd taking a while to colonized. I should mention that both are colonizing from a bfc cake (I think I spelled it wrong), any way I got the half quart cake and shredded it. Should I keep doing the neglect tek on the #3 one? Or fruiting condition..?
#4 #5 this Is a cake that I just put in a small container with perlite and foil. It's looking wild with the mycelium growing out like that, any suggestions?

They look ok to me, just keep doing what you’re doing and they’ll pin eventually.

This thread is for stone producing species though. Try picture of the day or general discussion or even make a new thread.

Hey Yoshi

I have only try my Rancho once and only a small dose at 6 grams fresh after a break at atleast a month. I read that that people says that mexi and tamp fruits are 1 1/2 - 2 times stronger than cubes. I didn't felt mutch of those 6 gram fresh and find them weaker than my tamp Beulah or equal to cubes. So If you looking for a small dose try a dry gram atleast. But yes a very beautiful looking shroom.

There's a Rancho Agosto Mexicana out there too? Beautiful fruits btw! Well done!

I'm familiar with mex A from back in the day(which may be a tamp?)- but never had the pleasure of seeing it in the flesh since it was AWOL for years from sporeworks, jalisco (never much luck the few times I attempted fruiting it or any sclerotia production), Chicon Nindo (seems unavailable to the public) ....any more?

Fairly new to the world of Mexicana and the psychedelic 🐌 snails. 😁 Thanks for the info!

:begger:

Anyone have a Tampanesis print they can part with?  I’m in the US.

…I had some decent looking tamp shoeboxes, but they have been on the lower side of the potency range.

Thanks in advance
