This does make sense too, as whatever "sense" the tissues get (probably related to evaporation rate in the exposed tissues) that there is a good breeze, which would tag the "ready to release spores" impulse...

The caps in the second pic were slightly smaller than the first as they received less FAE early in their development.

These all opened up fully and printed well

Holy shit mycolorado is back!!! How you been man?

C10 how many transfers did you do to get that fruiting culture? That things got me so excited to run these clones even though they’re still tissue plate lol.

This second flush has got some real thick twisty ones now. How many flushes do you let them go before digging the stones up?

From my experience, using the pan substrate mix(manure, straw, etc) and a  joctek pan evaporation cycle creates at least 3 significant flushes with the 4th and 5th flushes significantly declining.
The crazy thing is last time I dropped 5 month old jars in 4 separate totes stones and all into a pan substrate and at the end I thought I was gonna harvest some stones yet their were none.

I usually get 3-4 solid flushes and another 2 or so small ones. Could definitely get more but not worth the shelf space

I dont like using manure for these, bc i prefer my stones not to have shit embeded on them when i eat them haha

I played w straw and manure tamps and galindoi for a while, but all my best yields were either straight cased grain or coir. Also makes for easier harvesting of stones

@AKA:

Crazy thing is it came from a stone clone, then about 6 transfers to isolate. The original culture was from a serial streak, so already limited genetics a lot. Culture been in storage for like 4 yrs, still kickin ass

Has anyone thought about freezing fresh sclerotia. To me I think this would be the most ultimate way to keep them well preserved.

Anyways I just got my hands on a ATL#7 MS syringe that will be going to WBS. I'm looking to get sclerotia and fruits. Would it be best to let the sclerotia form in the jars for a good while and harvest the stones then go to bulk substrate or to let stones form a few weeks and not harvest them and go straight to bulk and let it fruit?

To sum it up I'm looking for the best method to get both stones and fruits.

Some folks say that freezing vacuum sealed fresh stones works great

For both stones and fruit jusy spawn @100%, fruit, then harvest stones

Okay sounds like a plan. Should the harvest of stones be after first flush  or after a few flushes?

Ohh happy to hear this. Never hear that before. Friends are not interested in stones when I give them to them dry. "Too much work to make powder etc" they think..  but if I could give them fresh ones from the freezer that would be awesome!

Time to put some Galindoi to agar when I get home today 😁

Seems like three flushes then harvest stones is the way to go.

I keep picking, they keep growing. They love water too, you can water these at the base of the stem like a plant almost and they love it.

Got about two dozen prints out of it so.. pm me.

It’s funny how atl is technically tamps but it grows straight and has big caps while tamps are usually crazy curly with smaller caps.

I guess it’s the same as all the different cubes though.

Yeah I mean with this iso you can definitely see the tamp gene in there. With the last one the caps were much lighter and didn’t have any white ring around the edge. It’s just conditioning and phenos veering off the track for years and years. At least that’s how I’m understanding it

damn bro, beautiful fruits

those are jalisco right? arent those p mexicana (totally different species form tamp/atl/gal)

they look like some beautiful tamps

i thought mexis look more like this typically, but ive never grown a true mexi (only gal and tamp):

it is weird how different the morphology of tamps vs galindoi (lol all tamps) is so different ime, like totally different caps

but not all tamps are curly. No curly boys here:

this is the EXACT same isolate as the wormy 12"+ 10g tamps i been posting (and in my sig). only difference was less light and less FAE in the wormy ones. these pics are all SUPER high light and FAE
