I recently left a plastic baggie full of stones in my closet. The stones grew out mycelium and kinda bound together loosely. It's been 2 weeks and the stones still look like they're good to eat. I'm thinking of just leaving them in the closet to see how long they last.
I'll post a pic in a bit, but do you guys think they'll stay good like this?

oh yeah I know about them lasting in the fridge. But I always hear people advising storing them at room temp, but these stones have lasted 2 weeks completely fine. I'm just wondering if these things will store well in a dark and cool place.

thats fucking cool. What better way to store produce than letting it stay alive? is the baggie sealed/closed? Perhaps they will continue to age as well, though without any nutrients its
give it some nutrient rich water maybe. compost tea maybe..I wonder how that would work in general.

They will keep in the fridge for a while but I wouldn't push it to long and I would put them in a paper bag not plastic. They will mold eventually and they will lose potancy the longer they sit around. I wouldn't eat fresh stones that had been in a bag in the closet for any real length of time.

In the past year I had stones in the fridge for months. Never noticed potency drop or any other sign of degradation. They are still alive. And last a long time. I think they act similar to a culture vial. But its just this one year expert nice really. Also if u have a dirty fridge that will certainly speeds up degradation

They also dry very well. I diced some, put them on some foil, and threw the foil into my dehydrator. Dried chunks are crunchy, but definitely edible.
And 5 grams of my dried galindoi was a pretty solid trip, I'd say somewhere between level 3 and 4.

Quick question about potency
In my experience it usually comes down to 5g wet equals 1g dry cubensis. A good cubensis not the shitty one.
I wonder what are your insights into this. Also I haven't tried drying them so far and wondering if u have experience in that field and also dosing dry stones
