The OFFICIAL Stone producer/sclerotia thread and discussion 11

-Hey all. Ive been getting into stone producers lately and noticed there isn't really a place specific to stone producers and their grows, as well as info.
--Looking at all the different opinions and experiences of people producing them, I figure we'd post them here and see whose methods actually work, and work the best.
---Going to start with my Tampanensis plates, haven't made up any spawn yet, but I plan too expand to include ATL7 and some Jalisco into my collection, after I successfully produce some Tampanensis of course.
Feel free to post your pictures, growing parameters, and any additional information you found helpful or might think others might find helpful]
I don't have much to contribute to this yet, but I will soon. Uploading pictures soon.
Tampanensis plate that's been sitting for a while, this look good to you Recent transfer:

Is it covered in bacteria, or trying to produce micro-stones?

Nice MAD, good shit as usual..
I still am not used to seeing straw colonized, freaks me out for some reason when I see it lol.
Also, Do you think trays or mini monos work best for fruiting stone producers?
Also Also, Do those wide moith pints fit like a cup of grains in each one?

Stone in the middle, cluster of pins on the right
I just like trays for everything. Everyone has their grow techniques. This is mine haha. I'm sure you could do monos
I make the grains a tad bit high. I'd say a cup and a quarter to a cup and a half of grains in each jar

Please do! I need something to compare my plates too,
Also, mad, im intrigued, and surprised you don't have tamp on agar yet.
I thought the syringe I used to inoculate the agar was clean but I got the stuff you see on the first plate
and less on others

I cut it up into little squares, then load the foil squares into my 1/2 pint jar, cover with foil && PC for 15 @15psi.
What are you using as a filter? I use Micropore tape. (1 layer inside, 1 layer outside)
Orange is normal with tampan mycelia as it begins to age progressively, but tht looks like metabs fighting contamination. If you look closely you can tell the mycelia it self isn't orange, it's secreting an orange liquid, which I presume to be metabolites. Since it's dark orange/yellow it's probably fighting contamination.

that's what I figured since the amount of what looked like metabs, but just wanted to double check. Im guessing my syringe was dirty, because ive had nothing short of perfect sterile technique lately. I guess ill try and transfer again and if nothing works use some Antibiotic agar.
filter on what?

I asked what type of filter you use on your jars.
Guess it doesn't matter unless you PC your foil squares like I do. lol

Im going to start PCing my foil squares, I forget who has another tek but it involves oven serilization.
I use SFD cut to about a dime or nickel size, and siliconed on the lid, with an Injection port for good measure

Just moved Alt7 wedges from 4 plates to 4 jars of oats. 2 other plates were transferred to several new plates. Since stones take a long while to form, I'm going to transfer some of the cultures to slants this weekend even though I'm not sure of the genetics. I don't want to lose everything with a bad jar.
