I don't see many people try and dry their stones though. They keep so well in the fridge and in the jars themselves. Plus when they're dry, they're like little rocks.
I dried mine because RR has stated in the past to dry them as soon as possible if you don't plan on using them right away.
I plan on grinding them up before consumption.

Nice stones btw
Thanks.
Be warned. You may end up bending/dulling/denting the blades on your grinder.
I'm on my 3rd coffee grinder because of damned dried stones... I just pick em when I want to eat 'em now. I'll never dry them again. Even 30 minutes of boiling won't rehydrate the big ones.

That or cut em up into smaller pieces before drying. Seriously I think grinding up rocks might be easier...

No wonder my Chicon Nindo only produced a few fruits. I made a modified hpoo substrate but it had grass seed in it.
Good information. Now I'm glad I didn't try to spawn to hpoo and just cased the leftover whole brown rice that I just harvested
Don't know why I was thinking they were dung lovers.
Well, stonesun had it in his writeup that dung would produce better results. I had and have seen plenty of straight coir tubs that performed just as well as his trays. I've also had and seen plenty of tubs not put out a single fruit after months. I've really been trying to figure out why a lot of people have had problems fruiting galindoi, specifically.
Can you tell me how deep your substrate was, wetness/dryness of substrate, spawn ratio, time spent colonizing, etc.? I think I am on to something that will provide more reliable results, but I need more data.
