Is it safe to drive on shrooms when it is not during rush hour and after trip peak.

Depends what you consider safe. I already have two DUIs and im only 19 so I won't be doing it again but sure it's probably just as safe as driving while you really drunk. I had to do it one time. I was watching the fireworks display at the beach on the fourth of july I didn't think I would still be tripping after it was over but I was. The hardest part was figuring out how to get out of the fucking complicated parking lot I almost had a panic attack in there. Once I got out of the parking lot it was all smooth sailing.

Once my husband and I tripped on shrooms for a good 6 hours.  Afterwards, we thought, "hey, we're hungry and we stopped tripping...lets drive to IHOP!"

BIG mistake...it was one of the most scary experiences of my life.  Our minds weren't really tripping anymore, but our perceptions were still really altered.

Everything looked alien and either too big, or too small.  We couldn't gadge distances and the road kept appearing like it was swallowing us.  We ended up getting lost.

I will *never* ever* ever* do that again!!!  I feel so fortunate that something bad didn't happen because of my ignorance/stupidity.

I recommend you don't drive on shrooms.

I think most peple would consider it a bad idea. I'm not the best person to answer since I dont even think you should drive if you're really tired or sick tho. But if it wasn't a high dose then I'd say its pretty safe even tho you should drive anyways.

the only safe drug to drive on is cannabis if you ask me. If accident happends and someone , not you, gets killed you will get a hard time living with yourself.

what about amphetamines? i could probably drive better then...

i don't have any sound advice to add though since I've tripped with the sole intentions of just driving through the forest before, and have drove from friends houses to mine numerous times tripping my ass off, like while peaking on 5g. it was only when other people weren't on the road at like 2am so I wasn't putting others at risk really but still kinda stupid though.

Its not safe to drive while under the infulence of pretty much any psychoactive drug no matter the dosage.I wouldn't push your luck. But hell Ive done it before. Ive drove while tripping on a lot of different types of psychedelics. Definetely wasn't smart and Im lucky.

Yeah its really not worth it. If some dumbass crashes into you and Dies and the accident is HIS FAULT you could be charged with MANSLAUGHTER if you are proven to be impaired. Not to mention the thousands upon thousands of dollars it costs just to get a normal DUI. Just find a friend to drive you around I know its easier said then done.

driving on mushrooms is cool as long as you aren't anywhere where there's any traffic. Out in the wilderness in my friend's jeep it was really fun. We just rode really slowly looked at the scenery and listened to some bluegrass. It was awesome. One of those old school land cruisers, back when they actually made cars out of metal. Really fun. Traffic, though.. ugh..

use discretion.

I think driving would be all the better on amphetamines since it really boosts your concentration.

Driving on shrooms... hmmm... it sounds like it would be fun on acid.  My friends were on a car trip and they had all eaten microdots/acid and the only bad thing that happened to them was that when they changed cd's in the cd player (while the volume was on full blast) that distorted radio frequency sound would come on in full blast and sometimes it would be on a while before they found another cd to put in... it really freaked them out.  They also said the road stripes dividing isles would go all snaky patterned and tunnels seemed to eat them :eyemouth:.  It sounds intense but fun!

come on people don't drive on shrooms! It isn't safe and you could hurt yourself or, even worse, other people. even if you think you're 100% in control you're not really.

Don't drive while tripping :shake:

Unsafe, i drove once after about 5g trip, 3 hours
after it i thought i was ok to drive. I was at a
friends house and my plan was to go to another
friends house, on the way there i went past a long
straight line of traffic cones at some road works,
the cones were in a straight line but to me they
were in a zigzag line, it freaked me out and i
went straight home, which was nearer and ditched
the car.
Another time i left the same friends house after a
3 hour trip and as soon as i left i new i should have
turned back but there was nowhere to turn so i kept
heading home on a road i must have used a 1000 times.
It was dark and i ended up thinking i was on the wrong
road, i made it home but it was like a bad trip all
the way there.
Never again...

Driving on drugs is very stupid and those who do so hurt all of us who have great respect for mushrooms and other entheogenic substances. Getting caught driving on drugs only enforces the beliefs of those who would prosecute us for do so. And believe me when I say many get caught driving under the influence. That is a ligetimate charge in Califonia and can also include aspirins and/or coffee as under the influence.

Not safe.

Its more difficult than driving on LSD. (Not safe either)

Edit: I dont know why you would be asking this question unless you have never tripped before. You know you shouldnt drive when you're fucked up and being on shrooms is one of the weirdest, most alien fucked up's you can be.

I'd never do that, I don't want a cop pulling me to the side of the road and talk to me, even if one of my flasher's light is burnt. Talking to cops under the influence of any drug is extremely scary and almost everytime you end up getting caught.

INGESTED MUSHROOMS, SAYS SUSPECT IN JOGGER'S DEATH

Dustin J. Ripp was high on hallucinogenic mushrooms when he struck and killed a Middleton man as he jogged on a road just north of the city, according to a criminal complaint filed Tuesday.

Ripp, 19, was charged Tuesday with homicide while driving under the influence of a controlled substance, first-degree reckless homicide and failure to render aid causing death in connection with the death Saturday afternoon of Jim Beyer, 40, an executive at Famous Footwear.

He was also charged with hit and run in connection with a crash with another vehicle that occurred moments earlier.

Witnesses said they saw Beyer jogging on Pheasant Branch Road when a car driven by Ripp sped down the road and struck Beyer, who was killed instantly, according to the complaint.

"All I remember is I took the shrooms today and everything got weird," Ripp told Deputy Peter Hansen after the crash, the complaint states. "Then I got in this car and I crashed. Now I'm here."

Ripp was released from the Dane County Jail on $12,000 bail ordered Tuesday during a court appearance before Dane County Court Commissioner Todd Meurer. Ripp, a 2003 graduate of Middleton High School, is a graphic design student at MATC, said his attorney, Stephen Eisenberg. He lives with his mother in Waunakee. (

According to the criminal complaint against Ripp:

David Gibbon, a Middleton alderman, was jogging on Pheasant Branch Road when he saw Beyer, then saw Ripp's car. After the car passed, he said, he heard a loud impact and saw pieces fly off Ripp's car, then saw Beyer's body fall from the car. He ran to Beyer but found he had no pulse.

After the crash, Ripp got out of his car and walked up to Cory Acker, who was working on his truck in his driveway, and said "take me to my bed." Acker told police that Ripp, whom he knew from high school, did not seem to be himself. Acker said Ripp then got back into his car and drove it into a cornfield, attempting to make a U-turn.

Gibbon said he ran after the car and pounded on the driver's side window until Ripp stopped. Gibbon opened the car door and pulled Ripp from the car and, joined by a neighbor who had also seen the incident, held Ripp down for police.

Several times, Gibbon said, Ripp told him, "I'm high."

Ripp later told Dane County Sheriff's Detective Kevin Hughes that earlier that day, he had gone to a friend's house and consumed hallucinogenic mushrooms, and afterward, smoked marijuana. He told Hughes that he got scared and started "freaking out" and drove off in his car, determined to get home.

A little later, and moments before the crash that killed Beyer, Ripp struck a minivan from behind while driving northbound on Pheasant Branch Road. The van's driver said a man later identified as Ripp got out and showed him a marijuana pipe in one hand and a lighter in the other.

"I'm stoned. Don't call the police," Ripp told the other driver, before getting back into his car and driving off.

Madison police Lt. Brian Ackeret, commander of the Dane County Drug and Gang Task Force, said psilocybin or "magic mushrooms" are drugs the task force encounters infrequently. He classifies them as experimental drugs that are typically used only a few times because of the side effects - stomachaches and vomiting.

Psilocybin usually produces effects similar to LSD, but not quite to the same degree, experts say. Effects include relaxation, intensification of color, sense of well-being, separation from surroundings and feelings of heaviness or lightness. Effects usually begin within 30 minutes of ingestion and last two to four hours.

Dont do it man...may seem like fun but its so not worth it if something happens. Imagine dealing with a regular incedent...then make it like 100 times worse, and thats what itll be like. Something that is fun though...get a sober person to take you for a good rip. The road warps around and distances look shorter and longer and shit. Its pretty fuking cool.

I'm surprised questions like this even get asked these days.

Mushrooms are no different from alcohol. We all know we are not supposed to drive drunk...why would being intoxicated from something other than alcohol be treated any different?

Don't drive high. Period.

Do you live in the city? If so, I wouldn't take the chance. If your wanting to go explore some country back roads I think it's fine. Just make sure you don't get lost!!
One of the very few times I tripped, I was driving my truck around with a buddy of mine. We were just driving around the Blue River area in southern Indiana. When the mushrooms were setting in we were just having a blast. We came to the highway and were going to cross it. On the other side was I big dip in the road as well as a younger guy on a horse. I couldn't keep my self from driving kind of fast (not really fast, but too fast for smooth riding across the dip) and we were both cheesing big time. When we crossed we hit the dip all smiling really big and shit and the dude on the horse just smiled. We were trying to look straight ahead and look unnoticable. That was one of the funniest moments of my entire life. We just laughed and laughed. After that we drove back a very familiar trail in the woods and then it became one of the worst moments in my life. I got really sick and started dry heaving for hours. I ended up laying on the ground behind my truck next to my piss and puke unable to move freezing my ass off. My buddy was just sitting in the truck unable to move as well. He really thought I was dying and didn't know what to do as he was getting sick too. This was like 3 AM. Anyway, it sucked bigtime. I pulled the muscles in my waist from dry heaving so much. I guess another piece of advice I have to offer is to make sure you have a comfortable place to lay down where you will feel secure. Bad trips can be a nightmare. Be careful on your journeys.

I have done it once out on necesity. I will do any thing in my power I can to never do it again. I saw about a houndred pink flamingos all marching across the sky right above my head stepping in unison to the tune of the song on the radio. That was some thing I would have enjoyed more while lying in the grass.

I have a friend who, every time he eats mushrooms, reaches his peak, grabs his keys and drives away all night long by himself. He claims that he can perfectly manage himself. I tell him he is a moron, have tried to keep the keys from him, but then he just goes running off into the night. Strange guy, really. I wouldn't recommend it, simply because sometimes, weird things happen when you are on shrooms! Amazing, but true. We take them to alter our perceptions, and while these philosophical eyes are great to view the world from the relative safety of the back porch, local camp grounds, or living room, I think that one needs more normal "game life" perception to drive down the street. Now, if everybody was tripping, maybe it would work out. But, there are a lot of pissed off people on the roads nowadays, and you don't really want those vibes, do you? Either walk to wherever you wanna go, have a sitter who can drive you around, or wait until you get wherever you wanna go to eat the boomers.

I wouldnt recommend driving on any drugs but I must say I have found myself behind the wheel a little wired a few times. Twice I decided to dose right when we were pulling up to the location of where we *thought* our adventure would be and evidentally it wasnt and I ended up tripping before we got to our final destination. Good thing we knew where we were goin or I would have gotten lost fast. THose times were really bad and dumb but I have had to drive after raves or festivals still alittle wired and as long as I kept acute and on target and didnt start spacing out, then it is not that hard as long as your not peaking. Especially at night, the street lights and reflectors really lead you in the right direction. Once again, never get fucked up and go out driving while tripping....Im not recommending it, just sharing a personal experience.
