Help! my first pf cake's stopped growing

Hello,
I am trying to make my first pf tek cake's at the moment. I made the cake's around 9-11 October and they are still not fully colonized. The bottom of all of them are behind the most. The top has some fuzzy stuf.
I read something about putting them upside down so CO2 can get out and O2 in. But my jars are fully closed, i closed the holes with tape.
Somebody help!

did you forget to put a dry verm barrier on top before sterilizing the cakes? it looks very wet and you have some bacteria growing there.
use a marker and draw a line where the growth is now, wait 3-4 days and see if it has moved. if it has truly stopped growing you could just rinse off the uncolonized parts, you have some healthy growth on at least some of the cakes and bacteria isnt a threat to colonized substrate.
the jar all the way to the right in the 2nd pic dont look happy, you should smell all of them when you open the lids eventually.

You shoulda covered the holes with micropore tape to allow for some GE.

ge comes from that strip in the middle of the lid, sorta like in bags. cant remember the manufacturer but they are quite pricey and apparently the best thing since sliced bread according to the maker..

Still better to start from scratch. Those kits are damn expensive! I'm glad I found the shroomery before I blew 100$ on one of those!

That's only happened to me once, and it turns out that the substrate in that area was too dry to colonize. You could potentially birth them now and rinse all the excess substrate from the healthy mycelium, and then dunk them for 24 hours and roll them in fresh vermiculite.

I did put dry verm on the top but i think i moved them way to much.
Can you explain to me why you thought about this? so the next time i know why i put it on.

Does it matter that i do use a heat mat for heating them. I put a towel in between so it does nog get to hot. The bad part is that the bottom of the jar is hotter than the top.
Those plastic jars are not very expensive btw, is it allowed to put a link on this forum of where i bought them?

i dont think its a kit, or perhaps this is, but you can buy just those jars with the ge strips from the manufacturer. cant remember their name right now.. ugh.
it looks more wet and bacterial than dry to me..

I would remove the heating pad, something has gotten the dry verm barrier wet and rendered it useless. you dont really need a fancy ge strip thing with the pf-tek, the dry verm barrier is your filter and you dont need to re-tape the holes.
sure just post the link to the jars, if its not a sponsor you can just remove the link later, i'm curious and wanna remember!

http://azarius.net/smartshop/magic-mushrooms/growing-accessories/filterbox/ You can buy them over here!
I'm trying to understand what you mean, because my english is not very good. You mean i can just put the spores in the jar through the 4 holes and not tape or close the holes? But in that way my cake can be easily infected??
I'm putting the cakes upside down for two or three days and see what is going to happen. I removed the heat mat and put the jars (closed) in my fruiting chamber at 24 degrees Celsius. Do you think this is the best option?
Thank you all for your fast response!!!

no they wont be infected because the dry vermiculite on top works as a barrier, nothing will germinate or grow on the dry vermiculite. if the verm gets wet, nasty things can germinate and grow on it.
