Taunting a police K-9...
    #22508155 - 11/11/15 07:06 AM (8 years, 2 months ago)

is a third degree felony in Pennsylvania apparently.

"Police investigate NFL player Ray-Ray Armstrong for barking at dog"
http://www.bbc.com/sport/american-football/34784628
Quote:

Armstrong, 24, reportedly lifted his shirt and taunted the animal shortly before the start of Sunday's NFL game against the Pittsburgh Steelers...
... the player was shouting "Hey dog, hey dog" after leaving the locker room before the game...

The linebacker could be charged with taunting a police K-9, a third degree felony in Pennsylvania.

"The dog was going crazy," chief deputy Kevin Kraus said.

"The deputy was trying to control the dog the best she could. We were immediately notified about the incident,
and we immediately initiated a criminal investigation into the matter."

Quote:

"Bandit was very agitated. He wanted me to let him go.
I imagine with his training and experience he would have gone to his target who was taunting him.
I don't want to speculate on what he would have done," she said.

lol, who's a good Bandit, yes you are...

Curious if he gets charged...:waits:

Aren't police animals considered officers too?  Like can't you be charged with harming an officer if you harm a police doge?

This guys works for me and he did some prison time for shooting a police dog. He told me his charge would have been a misdemeanor and no jail time if the dog could return to work, but it couldn't so he was given a felony. I don't remember if the charge was animal cruelty or something else. His background check is around here somewhere.. Let me tell you, it's impressive how many felonies some people can rack up before they get incarcerated.

He should've said, "in my opinion, HEY DOGGY HEY DOGGY" and then he would've been protected by freedom of speech!

so can a cop be charged under the same offense if his mere presence upsets my dog
or can it only be used for police dogs because if that's the case then we're seeing
an inequality in the laws and it certainly a a travesty of justice to place some
animals in the realm of humans or even above them while others are still considered
to be second class, this is no different than denying gays marriage or considering
black people as property

speciesism needs to end!
