Found some eaters
    #22506696 - 11/10/15 07:27 PM (8 years, 2 months ago)

I recently found some Lion's Mane and some oysters very close to home.  Yum, yum!
The second photo appears to be Lion's Mane that never organized into individuals.  Very strange.

Do you mean the vertical one spread out on the tree?
It looks very similar to the spikes on the lion's mane, but I would be open for other ID's.

Yep they look like that. I'm not a TI either.

Compare the second one to Irpex lacteus

Hey Mrcloudy,
I think you're on to something with Irpex lacteus.  It looked so similar to the lion's mane that was 10 feet away I never considered anything else.  I'm going to go back and have another look this weekend.
Thanks!

Mick
