huge contamination in

Hi guys, I am new to mushroom cultivation. I help friends who want to produce a lot of oysters shortly. We should produce 1000 kg per month but we produce only 50 kg due to a contamination problem.

This week we re washing our entire farm to start over. I have several problems / issues. 1) In the incubation room there are wooden beams with green spots. Is this the tricho? How should I Kill it? We wanna use steam and after bleach. Then we wanna varnish the wooden beam.

2) We think that the substrate may be contaminated by the buckets. To clean our buckets, we dip them in water with bleach at a concentration of 5%. Is this enough or should we focus more on bleach?

3) Our substrate is a mixture of coffee grounds (40%), brewing malt (25%), wood chips (25%) and roasting residues (10%). This mixture is too rich? 4) We want to try to make a new blend of coffee and straw. What are the best proportions? 5) What is the best product to clean the farm? Bleach ?
Thank u so much guys to answer my questions, hope to find a solution...
Sorry for my english, nobody's perfect

Your proportions are much too rich. Start on straight pasteurized straw. If anything, coffee should be used at a supplement. Try it in small increments (5-10%). The coffee is probably where your trich issues are coming from, but post in more details on your procedure if you want some more help. Good Luck.

Hi,
Thank u guys for ur response, I will try two tests: one 100% straw, one 40% cofee and 40%straw and 20% wood chips. This week I will dip the straw in water with 1% lime and I will pasteurize it at 75 °C during two hours.
Hope it's gonna work
cheers!

If I were you I'd take this advice and cut out the coffee and see what happens. Idk what it is about coffee grinds but anytime I use it I have issues. Try using the coffee water instead of the grounds? Good luck man.

Cut out the coffee.
Wiping down your entire area with bleach solution sounds like a great idea. Clean the hell out of those buckets as well, up the bleach percentage in the solution.

start with 5% coffee if you are really eager to try it.
