I think we should sterilize everybody on government assistance.

That's not the answer.
Of course, there are always people who abuse the system, but spending $10 on a child that will end up paying $100 in taxes (numbers obviously simplified) when they start working isn't a terrible problem.
Not really on topic, though.

I consider people who can't be net contributors to society a disability.

For what length of time? Where do you draw the line between freeloader or somebody using temporary help?

A solid point if you can't get it together after 5 years sterilization should be an option. I also believe abortions should be free and contraceptives heavily subsidized. This would decrease crime and actually improve the prospects of the working class.

I agree about free abortions and birth control.
I also think sterilization should be an option, but for the person, not the state to decide.

If its a mental handicap like retardation I don't mind it. How many generations of retards is enough? But for other disabilities like someone who lost a leg in a car crash it seems pretty evil to deprive them of their capacities as a human being.

That's pretty extreme. A lot of families are on food stamps when the bread winner gets laid off during a recession. Good hard working people can be on food stamps for long periods of time while they get retrainign for a new career or while they look for work. It happens.

As for the actual thread topic itself, I personally don't really have a strong opinion either way. Just curious to read other opinions on the matter.
So, however you feel is fine for me. Just want your $.02

I got government assistance for a quick little bit there after my baby was born. Both the mother and I work(ed) full time (over 40 hours, actually).
We got some free formula and a child care voucher that we didn't use. All in all, I think we got 10 things of formula..
Should we be snipped?

how would this decrease crime and create jobs. Were you born yesterday or did your brain just fall out of your asshole? You just flagged yourself to be sterilized.

Theft is a social issue, mental illness is a eugenics issue, that was my point.

Carolyn Frohmader, CEO of Women with Disabilities Australia, said Australia does not have any laws in place to prohibit the forced sterilization of women with disabilities, or children, and it falls under the UN definition of torture.

She said most girls who are sterilised have an intellectual disability and cited the example of a 39-year-old woman who is part of WWDA who was sterilised when she was seven years old because she had a vision impairment.
Vision impairment and sterilized?
Duh'fuck?

Most people are only on government assistance temporarily though (like less than 5 years), you want a permanent solution to a temporary problem?
