I was just curious on how well it would grow. So I put it in a cake style.

No. My updated pic is the original block of sub. I removed it from its original container to a bigger tub.

Should I move the sub away from the walls to give the mushrooms more room?

oh.. why did you move it?
you should rather move it to a sgfc style FC as SLH suggested.

The worst part about this since the hole is so big it might dry out your substrate too fast.
Also that thing is gonna keep breaking up while you harvest and its gonna be a bitch to rehydrate after flushes. Is it just in 2 pieces? Or are there more cracks? And are the pieces solid? Do you think they can withstand a dunk?

Its in two solid pieces. But I noticed a few of the pins are rubbing against the wall of the tub. Should I adjust it so it's not touching?

are the holes even uncovered? they/it looks taped up to me.
shrooms are growing, just let them do its thing, start a new grow and follow a tek, focus on clean spawn

Micropore tape is only used for GE as far as I know. Don't you have a softtoy or an extra pillow for a bit of its stuffing?
Or you could leave this as it is and focus on a new grow while following a tek as best you can as spacechildo said. There is way too much to fix on this current grow.
Edit:
If you do not know the difference between GE and FAE here's the gist of it. GE Is gas exchange and what this does is keep oxygen levels very low so the mycelium go into growing mode. A lack of GE makes your jars stall. FAE on the other hand is a constant change in the air. Co2 goes out and oxygen comes in. This is needed when mycelium is fruiting . Lack of FAE will give you "fuzzy feet" shrooms, aerial mycelium and less pins. The constant change of air makes the water condensate at the surface of the substrate and this condensation triggers pinning.

Maybe if you explained why he needs a tek (ie. Being helpful) I might have noticed you saying that.
Edit: or do you just want to be acknowledged for stating the most obvious course of action first?
