So fucking slow. I honestly can't even believe how slowly they grow. I turn my lights on at noon so I'll post some pics soon. I think the biggest one is going to abort or something, it hasn't changed much in the past day or two, the cap is sorta half open but won't open all the way. Was really hoping for a print but more and more pins show up every day. Just not sure why this is the only one that's fruiting.

Unfortunately there is no way for me to do that.
This first pic shows pretty well what's happening to the big one. It appears to be bruising along the stipe, there's a weird discoloration under the cap and the cap is darkening rather than opening up further.

I can now safely say I've completed the first flush of my first grow ever.. all thanks to you guys (and the kind AMU people). honestly, I thank you guys a lot for helping me out with all my dumb questions. without your advice this wouldn't have been possible. so far I've gotten about 30g dry from this grow and am expecting more flushes in the near future. anyway, here are some pics:
 my jars peacefully colonizing
the FC after I set it up and placed my first two cakes in it (notice how I still didn't have any holes drilled.. thank god I did manage to drill some later on)
first big shroom of the grow
 first pin explosion
high point of my first flush
 25g mushroom I just picked
again, thanks a lot everyone for your support. you guys are the best! (:

MrSpadoodles, I think you knocked it out of the park on your very first grow, nice work! Those are some fatties!
Here are the first fruits of my very first grow, Gyo's AA+ on BRF in a shitty excuse for an SGFC. I still have two more jars waiting to be birthed, as soon as I get a new tub and set up a proper SGFC. I was also struggling to keep this fc at the right temperatures, they made it down to 58 degrees Fahrenheit one night and I had to come up with a solution. Now they're sitting right between 72-78.
Clearly these results are nothing to write home about, but hey, this jar smelled like ranch dressing when I first popped the lid off, I'm certain there was a bacterial presence and I'm pleased that it's excelling in the face of adversity, lol.

Surprisingly, I've only gotten maybe three aborts out of around 50-60 pins.
I'm hoping to see bigger fruits if this cake survives into a second flush. I'll be harvesting some clusters from this tonight. I'll have a true SGFC set up next week and I'll be fruiting my other two jars in there, so I should have much better FAE and humidity fluctuation. I wanna see some fully-formed, bad ass cubes, but I especially want to get some spore prints and these little shits aren't going to do it for me lol.

I know! Not great at all, they look like Panaeolus cinctulus, lol. Not a single veil on any of these mushrooms either, probably too much RH and not nearly enough FAE. I clearly have some learning to do. I wonder if the possible bacterial presence is throwing them off as well.

You have gained experience and learned from it, and at least produced fruits

Thanks ND, I definitely need that encouragement. Now that the cherry has been popped, so to speak, my new goal is to successfully produce my own spore prints. Obviously I'm going to need larger, better-formed fruits for that. Simply producing fruit isn't going to cut it anymore, I want some fatties like MrSpadoodles up there.

I'm not sure if you are trolling or not, but if not, I am pretty sure those are not cubes. I'm not even certain they are active. Are they bruising at all? Can you show a shot of the gills? spore print yet? If so, pic?

yeah... maybe? I've never grown cincts, I've only found in wild and they sure don't look like any i've found in wild. if they are the spore print will be jet black.
i would not eat those until you confirm ID. I would post a thread in ID forum. get a gil shot and spore print if possible.

Yes, since zooming on my phone I agree they definitely don't look like cubesin they do very much resemble #2! Check out the spike shaped pins on his cakes and that dusty grey color. As said Print those to check spore color, do a couple on a black piece of paper to see if they are white.

Oh god dammit. I will be pissed if this is the case, I really appreciate the heads up I was assuming that they were extremely stunted. They seem to have veil fragments around the edges (see the white colored fringe on some of the smaller caps), but they either didn't produce spores or have white spore prints as you guys suggested.
This really sucks, now I'm rethinking using AA+ for my first grow. The syringe had visible clumps of purple spores from the print that Gyo sent to me, and I have no reason to suspect Gyo's print so if it's contamed it has to be on my end.
I guess I will harvest them and check them for any visible bruising, at this point that's the only way I can really identify them unless I get some obvious white spore prints.
