Thanks but, I'm not quite on their level. I'm a knowledge sponge but my actual experience is overshadowed even by some of the noobs around here. I've had a long time in the hobby to make observations but I haven't done the sheer volume of work that a lot of folks do around here. I only go big about once a year and the rest of the time I'm fucking off with little novelty projects and doing barely enough work to keep the cultures alive and some fruits here and there. I have some interesting stuff planned around the corner though.

Decided to build around the grow? That's commitment. Is that a remodel? Worried about increased contamination?

I guess I jumped on board while you were rocking it? I look forward to whatever you have planned in the near future.

Nah last time I was in full swing was around December-March. Everything between then and now is still what I would call fucking around. You all are goin way harder than me right now. Like, you blew through a 50 pound bag of grain how fuckin fast? A bag of oats usually lasts me a few months.

But Inoc, it's not entirely about how much gets spawned, but rather the quality of what is being produced and the wealth of information being shared. What good is a TC tag if the TC isn't active/helpful in the forum or working to improve the hobby as a whole? Many of your posts have, if not directly helped me, led me in the right direction. Anyway, thanks.

Bring a sab into the bathroom or at least into the corner where the rooms air will be much more still. I hope you are using a sab lol.
And I second Kali, inoc is a beast! I was debating who the next tc is and inoc or munch is on the list IMO.

^^ OMG Mad, that's amusing coming from you. You are incredible too. Without you my sterile technique working in my SAB wouldn't be so on point. Shows you how humble you guys are. Or truly completely fucking clueless as to how helpful and awesome you are.

working in front of that flow hood but every thing goes into that temp controlled coke fridge after. which i dont think too much air flow is getting sucked into since its set on heat right now ( i just have a space heater inside with a temp controller set to 76) not cool.

i basiclly live in a construction site though, work trade instead of rent, so there is really no good clean spaces to work in. trade offs i guess? been pretty successful lately though with avoiding contaminents

Part of getting a tag is knowledge and experience. I've soaked up a lot of information in my short time here but there's a difference between knowing something and experiencing something that makes a TC a TC.
No offense to Inoc, you've been my TC along with a few others for a while but that's probably where he's coming from. Half a year ago if you were on these boards you'd think I lived here

I think the next TC won't get tagged for a bit since all of our new TCs are very active but when the time comes I got a few bets in hand
Just did a bunch of culture work. Gonna get some grains going and expand my Oakridge.
My envyss jars are 95% colonized. I just pulled a KSSS and B+ flush and just tossed perfectly healthy tubs to make way.
Mudafukin space, here I come

If you don't already, play music while you do lab work.
I just got some new Bose speakers and I hooked up Pandora to it and Stairway to Heaven started playing while I was dropping F+ and Wikidzon spores while high as fuck off my Dark Star bud.
I think I just re-found my love for SAB work

I'm always listening to music. Always. It kinda feels weird when I am not. I went through a Pantera phase last month. I have never rocked out so hard in my kitchen. I'd like to think I have a career as a rock star if the whole management/ownership thing doesn't pan out, ya know?
Lately I have been real heavy into progressive jazz with the whole productivity vibe. Volto! is badass. Just saw them last weekend. HOLY SHIT. Speaking of Led Zepplin, they have a cover. Let me find it.

Damn... hard to find a good recording. That's jazz for you. Honestly, I think their other stuff is better, but the main riff is amazing.

First attempt at prints done. I think I got a few decent prints from this attempt.A little too much moisture-- I think this was from sealing the container instead of just leaving it in SAB uncovered or with seran wrap.

I'll just use a blade later tonight to cut the prints once the moisture issue has resolved. I threw a silica pack in containers until then. Then I'll use the foil from the sides to cover the prints.

I'm back for some more advice, my tub seems to be stalling and I'm not sure what to do. I gave it a small spritz of water to increase moisture in the top layer of verm, also taped up the holes as you suggested. Ever since then, however, the mycelium appears to have "deflated", for lack of a better term. Here's what I mean, the other day the mycel looked fluffy and was spreading at a nice rate:

I posted that pic the other day. Now, after spritzing and taping up the holes, I have this:

It seems to have stopped spreading, or is it just me? My spawn ratio was not ideal, is this perhaps the best that I'll see from this tub? Should I try to fruit it if the mycel isn't spreading anymore?
