Theres already a thread on this but its a poll, so its limited, and the beatles obviously won the poll.
On the other hand, I want to know what the Shroomery listens to.
So, to save problem, on the top of your head, name your favorite band?
Mine is System of a down.

Dance This Mess Around.
The red album and the yellow album are wall to wall brilliance. Mesopotamia, as well. Then there is their live shows. One of the best things I ever did was take my daughter to her first concert. Tom Tom Club and the B-52s in Central Park Summer Stage.

Return to Forever is some sweet jazz fusion with Al Di Meola on guitar. I wouldn't be surprised if this dude influenced a lot of metal shred guitarists. Check out the albums No Mystery and Romantic Warrior.
Tears For Fears was big in the 80s, so you may have heard most of the album Songs From The Big Chair. But their first album The Hurting is superior imo

Return to Forever is Chick Corea's jazz fusion band. Al DiMeola on guitar and Stanley Clarke on bass is the lineup I remember the best.

Thats a beautiful memory, and the b-52 play an important role by how upbeat they are, its a perfect first concert.

Band? Idk, I've never been able to give an absolute answer to that question, but recently, I'd say Mastodon I guess.

I agree Eminence I can never give a true answer the that question....
Now when someone does ask I always say the band that I am enjoying and listening to most AT THE TIME.
So right now my answer would be any work by Ty Segall I know it is not a band but he does so many projects like his solo albums are awesome. This one is my favorite.
If I had to choose a band it would be the one that I am going to see this Saturday with Ty Segall on drums. They are Fuzz
