Thats pretty disturbing. Those men hardly seemed to be a threat to the helicopter. The first person gunned down was the driver of the tractor. Clearly, there were no grounds to kill that person. And the follow-up killing of the wounded person who had hid underneath the truck makes me sick.

It's war, what do you expect? Soldiers are trained to kill, they can't hesitate and let their emotions get the better of them. If they are given orders, they will execute and fulfill them. It is their duty.

To try to avoid civilian casualties, rather than targeting them. I'd love to see what these people's justification was for killing those people. God, that video makes me wanna puke.

God bless america. Man that is sick you got it backwards..its "amerikkka bless god"...
I'd love to see what these people's justification was for killing those people. they might have entered a kill box (a designated area where anyone is immediately fired on)..not to mention the pointed hats the guys in the helicopter were wearing...

doesn't anyone even care what the facts are surrounding this video before you start crying for the poor iraqi dirt farmers?
last time I saw this posted online it had a little blurb attatched indicating that these gentlement had shoulder mounted rockets and had fired at another apache in that region earlier in the day.
but who knows even if that was true...
regardless, it's pretty clear that that one guy was going for his sidearm when they blew him up with 200 shots from a 30mm gun.

Also what are those shots you hear in the beginning since they were not fired by the filming Apache. And i would seriously doubt they wouldn't release this footage if it was just some guys killing innocents.

Here is what i found at rense.com on the mpg.
rense.com In the video, the 'vehicle' on the left side of the frame is clearly a farm tractor... "The clip was cut from a longer video obtained by ABC News last week and verified by a senior US army official." - WRH.com Download the MPEG movie here Comment From DOGG 1-18-4 The video conveniently leaves out the part where a guy turns up, grabs a long cylindrical object (probably RPG or AA launcher), runs into the field and drops it. The guys act mighty suspicious running back and forth. Also, as soon as the first guy is hit, you see the second unwrapping the weapon in hopes of shooting down the chopper. Now i don't like what america is doing in iraq and the world. But i have no problem with this except the part where they execute the wounded guy. FULL video http://home.comcast.net/~antman01/apache_mission_in_iraq.avi You must have the latest DivX codec installed to view. Comment From Marc Spess 1-18-4 Hi Jeff, I found the link - http://www.curtharmon.com/pics/apache_mission_in_iraq.avi You can see the guy behind the tractor tries to get the RPG out as fast as he can when he sees the first guy get hit. In the beginning, the first two guys look directly at the helicopter as you can see in this version which is a little clearer. One appears to have a long military style bandana on. They probably heard the Apache but could not see it, and the Iraqi running back and forth is clearly unhappy about being in the open. All signs that they were most likely troops. Either way it is still sad to lose your life that way. The long piece of fabric that is slung out before the second man is shot - is actually a long sleeve that was covering a shoulder fired rocket.

could have been his bong, why does it have to be an RPG

I saw it like this, chopper fires on unarmed potheads, the guy unwraps the bong to show it wasnt a weapon, throws it to the ground realizing the WOD is being fought by the US and that a bong is a deadly weapon in the eyes of Government. chopper kills all.

executing the wounded is disgusting. Clearly, he was no threat after being mowed down by the apache canon - couldnt they take him prisoner and perhaps obtain intelligence? no - the GI Joe little boy mindset kicks in.

that's the only problem i have with it. there was no reason to kill him. if you watch, you can even hear how the gunner was a little hesitant to do it, but was ordered to. even then, he doesn't aim at him, but at the truck, which i know doesn't really matter of course when the guy's behind the truck and the apache is firing a 30 mm cannon, but i still think it shows he was reluctant. i don't think he wanted to do it.
