Advice for growing sclerotia

I want to grow for private usage. Since I don´t have a place to grow mushrooms, I thought to grow sclerotia. I have read people recommending p. mexicana a for its large harvest. I cannot find vendors that send spores of this strain, outside eu. Although I do see that they have Jalisco var. I wonder why it is so scarce, if it is so good. Also could I just use the Jalisco. Also should I be worried for varieties with poor harvest? Also I have read rye grass seed is recommended. It is expensive and scarce, so could I just use rye berries, and get proper results? Also room temperature here varries. 15-30 celcius, according to season. Cubensis are fine in this temperature, will mexicana do?

Mexicana is good for fruiting not stones. Go for atl7 or tamp. Rye berries are ok but i dunno about results i think it comes next after rye seeds...so should be good. Temp is ok also a little bit higher would be better.

I will go for Tampanensis then. seems much more easy to get than atl7.

I was thinking of trying this out too, I got a bunch in the mail from the Netherlands and they were excellent.

Yea dude just prep rye like you do for normal spawn jars.
I would definitely inoculate with a clean culture on agar over syringe though.
I have a Ps.Gandaloi culture going and Im about to do my first stones grow!
I have Ps. Mex too. Got it because I knew it could produce stones but didn't realize it wasnt the best producer stone wise

Don't follow Violet. Violet's an idiot who's too hung up on finding new methods. Look up StoneSun for info on sclerotia.

Maybe I will go for Gandaloi. I see people say it has a good production. Why would you make an agar? I would assume vendors will sell sterile syringes.

No syringe is 100% sterile. You're playing the odds with them. Most of the time they work fine but there is always a chance of spreading a contaminant to all of your jars.

There's hardly anything "violety" in violets truffle tek.

Yea dude, most vendors do the best they can do make sterile syringes but its almost an impossible job. Spore syringes were created for PF tek type BRF innoculations. BRF cakes are more forgiving than grain, while a syringe might be clean enough for PF cakes its a risky gamble with grains.
Many times when when I germinate spores from syringe on agar I see bacteria and occasionally mold colonies. Agar then gives you the option to transfer clean, healthy growth to a blank plate, and then I usually make another transfer to be safe.
Innoculating under sterile conditions with a clean agar wedge is the only way to be sure you are working with a clean culture, that you will have clean spawn
