What are your favorite movies?

I was idly wondering what my favorite movies were, and set about to write them down. I came up with fifteen films, and I have ranked them in the order I feel they belong.
I was just wondering -- what are y'all's favorite movies? Please share a similar, or dissimilar if you want, list, not necessarily ranked. Here's mine:
1. Dr. Strangelove 2. 2001: A Space Odyssey 3. Apocalypse Now 4. Eraserhead 5. The Godfather 6. The Treasure of the Sierra Madre 7. The Bridge on the River Kwai 8. The Shining 9. Blue Velvet 10. Chinatown 11. Taxi Driver 12. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest 13. The Exorcist 14. Raiders of the Lost Ark 15. Fight Club

I'll just copy my list from my thread for the hell of it.
Eraserhead (1977) David Lynch 3 Women (1977) Robert Altman Drowning By Numbers (1986) Peter Greenaway 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) Stanley Kubrick Careful (1992) Guy Maddin Blow Out (1981) Brian De Palma Repulsion (1965) Roman Polanski Mulholland Dr. (2001) David Lynch McCabe and Mrs. Miller (1971) Robert Altman Drive (2011) Nicolas Winding Refn The Devils (1971) Ken Russell Suspiria (1977) Dario Argento Aguirre: the Wrath of God (1972) Werner Herzog Hannah and her Sisters (1986) Woody Allen Trust (1990) Hal Hartley
I see you've got a couple Coppola movies and I have none. My favorite of his is probably Rumble Fish or The Conversation, although it's been a while since I've seen the Godfathers, and I have yet to see Apocalypse Now. Taxi Driver is probably my favorite Scorsese movie.

Yeah I love The Conversation. That was actually Gene Hackman's favorite movie in which he acted, I once read. You need to get on Apocalypse Now. It's even better when you read Heart of Darkness beforehand.

That's one of his best roles I've seen. He's a damn good actor; he can do all kinds of characters. Yeah I know I do. That and Deer Hunter and the second half of Full Metal Jacket. So much Vietnam.

Haha yeah. Fwiw, my Dad is a Vietnam vet and he says that out of all of them, in his opinion Apocalypse Now is by far the most realistic, and his favorite in every other way, too. He says it captures the surreal nature of that war perfectly.

I'll try not to repeat any of the gems already mentioned. When I first saw Taxi Driver I said they should never show this movie to unstable people. No wonder the guy tried to assassinate Reagan! And now when I watch it it leaves me feeling unsettled for a few days.

I've only seen Big Lebowski and Wizard of Oz, and possibly SLC Punk out of those.

I recommend all of those, but bear in mind, I have been told that my tastes are somewhat unusual....

The media got that story wrong and continues to repeat the mistake to this day. Travis Bickel was not trying to assassinate the candidate Palentine because he was in love with Iris (Jody Foster). He was trying to kill him because he was in love with Betsy (Cybil Shepard), who worked on the Palentine campaign. He was only being protective of Jody Foster and wanted to get the poor 13 year old out of the whore life. The guy who shot Reagan was infatuated with Jody Foster.
