now i am no expert but, i have completed a grow using this tek http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/18381574 if you scroll down to the dunk and roll part, right above it there is a picture to show what pinning looks like. its a pretty obvious thing, the pins look like tiny mushies growing from your cake. how long since you birthed?

Interested to know which tek you followed for this?
Gonna be honest here, no it doesn't look very healthy, and grains don't generally have enough moisture retention to fruit stand alone, unless you case or spawn them to something that does. Once fully colonized you would have been better breaking it up and casing or spawning to a tray. Plus you need a proper SGFC chamber, not sitting on paper etc.

grains wont fruit well at all on their own, they need a casing layer to perform but does best spawned to a bulk substrate.
I would still try to spawn it to some bulk, even if its been a week. i'm really not a fan of cased grain blocks, they give a couple fruits or so..
btw 1 response is enough. quadruple posting is kinda frowned on here.

depending on what precisely you are growing, your temp may not be warm enough. "The temperature range recommended for fruiting of p. cubensis is 23-27C (this refers to the temperature of the room). Temperatures as low as 21C are also fine, but growth will be much slower. Growth will be extremely slow below 20C and you will have almost no growth at 17C and below." this is a direct quote from the tek i linked you earlier. its pretty warm and humid where i am year round so ive never had an issue with not pinning (my issue is mold )

Start over from the beginning using the right information that is available to you on this website. I dunno where you learned whatever it is that you are doing but it's far from right.
also I'd stop the repeated posting/bumping. You can be impatient but 5 posts in 5 mins is pretty silly.

Darn alright. I have a few colonizing, but this one had some sort of sentimental value to me.

yes that would help. you wont get much mushrooms tho, but you will (most likely) get some that you can print so you can try again (if you're out of spores)
as I said I would still try to spawn it to a bulk sub, cased (rolled in verm) grain blocks dont perform well at all.

Chalk that one down to experience. Post for help sooner in future if you are unsure of things. Good luck

sorry to burst your bubble. just think, about a month after you start over you can look at your hearty cakes and say "damn, thats what pinning looks like!"
good luck!

it wont pin. manure needs proper pasteurization, you'll be better off just using coir+verm as described in the bucket tek
here's how frank gets his stuff done you should take a look!
