my cakes where fully colonized so i began fruiting. it has been close to a month and there is little improvement but what i have noticed are a few spots i think a bruising but there is one spot that looks to be a grey fuz.
i included original pic too
also you will notice perlite on the cakes, i trusted someone to fan them a day i wasnt going to be home, guess the wanted a closer look and dropped them in it
its hard to see the fuz with the light of a camera but i out lined it

Looked long and hard at the pics, but all I can make out is possible bruising and\or verm covered with a layer of myc. They look dry though to me.
If you've had them out for a month with no pins I'd re-dunk if you haven't already, and then give them plenty of regular misting, along with FAE to promote evaporation in the hope of encouraging pinning to occur. Also consider trimming back your foil to only be fractionally larger than the circumference of the cake itself so as to allow airflow around the cake from below, plus remove the perlite in the picture from touching the cake, as it wicks the moisture away

Yes especially with perlite, as you need to keep it moist along with your cakes. Don't be afraid to mist your cakes directly, just do it from a good distance away so as you actually mist rather than spray

Keep an eye on it and see if it recovers, give it pleanty of FAE. Cakes can turn slightly different colours over their life. Its unlikely to be damaged by dunking, but it could be bacterial. Does it still smell good?

Hard to say, does it see to be getting larger\spreading? Does it look like mold if you look really close or just discolouration to the myc? You could isoloate from the other cakes to give it a few days

Tough to call, it could be a form of bruise, but thats usually more blue. If it isn't spreading or darkeing then its probably fine. A good way to check is to take close up pics every 12 hours or so, then compare. Mold tend to move quickly, so if it doesn't you're good
