Hi everybody, this is my first post so I apologize if I broke any rules. I'm almost certain these are p. cyanescens however I've never hunted any sort of mushroom before. Hopefully the lighting is sufficient for identification. Thank you in advance!
The photos at the bottom were taken immediately after picking before a lot of the bruising set in.
Habitat: I Found it very close to a church lawn in some bark. Seattle WA area.
Gills: dark brown
Stem: long, mostly white but with some brown/gray. in some parts it is turning a very blue tinge
Cap: about 1-2 inches in diameter, very wavy, dark brown, some have extremely dark black tinting in some areas. The edges are turning a dark blackish blue after picking.
Spore print color: predominantly black/charcoal color
Bruising: An oily candy blue color on the stem.

Thank you very much!
Do you mind if I ask you a question quick? I don't have any sort of scale so it is difficult for me to gauge how much I should take in one dose based on weight. Would one decent sized mushroom from the picture be sufficient?

Probably not. I've never weighed them wet, but I consider a typical dose to be 1 to 2 grams dry. From memory I think this works out to at least 5 or 6 average sized mushrooms or at least 3 or 4 large ones.

I'm content with 2 mediums. Sometimes hanging on to my chair for an hour, depends.

Nice find; way to go.
Try to pick them without pulling chunks of substrate out if you can. A proven technique if you don't feel like cutting them is to hold the base around it down with two fingers while you pull on the stem near the base.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it. If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.
