Yes, just make sure you tape it over the top tightly so there are no air gaps. You need to spray soapy water inside the SAB and let the air inside settle for a couple of minutes. Then you can begin your work inside. Make sure to use gloves sanitized with iso and also keep an iso soaked rag inside to wipe off your jar lids before opening. And always remember to flame sterilize your tools outside the box, or it could result in a fire, given the amount of iso inside.
Here are some proper sterile procedures you should take a look at: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/21889950/fpart/all/vc/1

Just, just grab some lawn leaf bags and staple them inside the box.
Cut two armholes in the side. Load the box from the top, mist that bitch down, and put plastic wrap or clear plastic over the top so you can see in. Mist that plastic through the armholes.

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

Using a cardboard box also lets you make a nice big box. You can cut the arm hole(s) much more easily, and in whatever shape is comfortable for you. Mine is made of a big cardboard box, plastic wrap, and duct tape- lots of duct tape. Total cost-less than $2

I use a cardboard box with plastic wrap over the top just like your talking about. I tape all the seams in the plastic and around the bottom flaps. The only problem I've found with cardboard is using soapy water to spray it down causes it to warp after it dries, so I started spraying it down with 50% iso instead.

I'm pretty sure stapling lawn leaf bag liner over the cardboard will fix that. Definitely will work with a staple gun and provide a much more sanitizable surface. It might work with a normal stapler opened up as well, or you could use thumbtacks, or you could punch two holes per attachment point and use zip ties/string/twist ties.

Do you have 7$ and a couple pairs of whitey tighties?
That's a clear plastic tote with arm hole cut in it and then the crotches of brief style underwear were put over the arm holes. The elastic nature of the underwear crotches provide a nice seal when arms are inside....I've found this design to be very effective in maintaining Still air lab space.

Nice setup, I think I'm going to shoot for this next payday.

Uch, rich people trolling this thread. Start your day with 10 chicken nuggets then remove one for each 20c you spend on your airbox and see how you feel about your extravagant suggestions.

Lol, shit, I only wish someone were rich around my house, but a plastic tote and something to cover the armholes shouldn't break the bank. I mean wjat are we talking, $10? I spent alot more than that growing mold my first 3 attempts.

you dont really want a seal between your arms and the holes, that just makes you push the air around when you move your hands. larger arm holes = less chance of touching the SAB = less shit floating around inside your box

Yea, I read about someone using an incense to adjust their box until air movement stopped. So,I did that and, you're right, bigger holes stopped the air. That being said, forget armhole coverings.

yup, the incense is great because it shows you if the air starts moving inside your SAB! teaches you exactly how smooth and steady movements you need!

thank you for the wonderful replies.
I made the box with wrap over the top.
Being the noob I am, I sparked the lighter inside the sab and everything caught fire. I remade the box and did everything right.
lets hope my LC comes out nice!

Here is a picture of the SAB that was used to inoc my LC.
Also a picture showing the bottle, I used the baby bottle tek.
And a close up of the LC, nothing to see yet, just a few spores floating around in the soulution.

How long does it take to start seeing any myc Growth inside a LC?
Sorry for bad English its not my main language.
