No signs of germination?

I've scraped some spores into a jar full of WBS, and also made some cardboard squares, soaked them in water and sterilized them, dragged them across the spore print and let them sit in a malt extract/water solution for almost 5 days now, but there's no signs of germination at all. I don't know what I could've done wrong... Any ideas? Pics: One Two There's this white residue in the jars, but I think it's not mycelium, just some sort of stuff from the malt extract... Or?
Peace

dudeā¦not even gonna guess what is in there.
pastywhyte easy agar TEK
try that out if u want to germinate spores from a print.
purchase or make syringes if u don't wanna use agar. scraping spores into grains is inconvenient, and more risky.

No point screwing with these super ghetto hope based teks. Hopefully you don't contaminate your print to badly rubbing it on wet sugar cardboard cardboard.
If you don't have a PC for agar work try this with a Still Air Box: http://www.shroomery.org/8514/Agar-substitute Steam 90 mins.
Given what you've said buying syringe(s) would be your best option since your print is probably toast.
It's concievable you might get something off the spore scrape into grain jars, but given what you said I doubt your sterile technique was good enough.

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

I read about that cardboard disc technique in this book: http://www.amazon.com/Psilocybin-Mushroom-Handbook-Outdoor-Cultivation/dp/0932551718
Yeah, I don't know what's going on. I used a SAB. Some guy who's been cultivating mushrooms told me I can scrape them directly onto spawn, and it should work, so I gave that a try. Couldn't find any petri dishes in my area, so I just stuck with the small jars instead.

There's 9 bad techniques, methods, ideas, etc for every good one. Use your research skills to determine the good stuff from the bogus stuff. Usually things like how old the method is, how many people get success using it etc..
