At least a week of consolidation is recommended, if you birth them as soon as they are 100% they will sit in the fruiting chamber consolidating before they pin, you don't have to wait until you see pins, but if you do see pins and they are 100% they are definitely ready to go.
Are those cakes sitting directly on the perlite? If so get foil or jar lids under them asap. They will start to grow into the perlite causing problems. Other than that looks good, you could probably use a few more holes. Make sure you have holes in the bottom and the lid as well, 1/4" holes 2" apart in a grid on all 6 sides. Also something under it like jars to elevate it off the surface.
Mist cakes directly until glistening repeat when not.
Edit- what's that wire coming out of the chamber?

yes, thay are sitting right on the perlite.... I will cut up some foil and place it under the cakes or use the lids! Thanks for that... I'll try to add some more holes too... Gonna be trickier now... But I'll give it a go! and I do have holes on all sides! The wire coming out of the chamber is my temp and humidity gauge!
Thanks for the info, I'll get something under those babies by the end of the day, gonna go get fat and happy first!

Yeah definitely get them out of the perlite, they will grow into it, waisting energy and possibly getting water logged. Also no need for a humidity gauge. Humidity in a SGFC will fluctuate, which is desired because if the humidity is always high no evaporation can occur and evaporation off the surface of the cake is a major pinning trigger. The only place humidity matters is on the surface of the cake and you can't measure that, it is achieved by misting until glistening repeat when not, for me works out to 2 to 3 times a day. People screw up watching a hygrometer and trying to keep humidity high, just look at your cakes.
If built and operated to spec all you should have to do with a SGFC is mist a few times a day and that's it. Basic principles of a SGFC

Will do that ASAP!! And I was using a fish tank at first... So it was useful, I use it more for temp, my humidity fluctuates from the 70s to the 90s when I mist! I'm a teacher, so when school starts up again I will start misting approximately three times a day. One in the morning one at about 4:30 PM and then another at around 9 to 10 at night before bed. How much misting is too much misting? I know that cooling on the cakes is not a good sign, but is there anything else to go by?
