Searching for LC tek

What's up fellow growers? I had to go away for a few years but now I am back and ready to get back at it. I have made many LC's in the past using the Karo method, so I have no issues with actually making my LC's. I came across a tek a few days ago and I can't remember who posted it, so if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. In this tek the member inoculated wbs and once it was colonized he added water with a syringe and then retracted the LC back out of the jar. This would be a better way in my opinion to start LC's because you can make sure there are no contams in your wbs jar before you start doing a lot of innoculations. I thought it was Agar's tek but I just spend several hours and could not find it. Thanks in advance for any info.

that's called GLC, grain LC. you cant really make sure nothing nasty grows in the jar where you cant see tho. and you cant see endospores or other bacteria necessarily, I'd suggest start any culture on agar to visibly inspect the myc in 2d and then drop a wedge in your sterilized LC

Thank you very much. I have had great success in the past with karo lc's. I did 10 monotubs of PE on a perpetual schedule for over a year straight before my little delay(not related). As soon as the third flush on the first 10 was done, the next 10 were ready to go into my fruiting room. In all that time I had one contaminated tub. I guess if it isn't broken then I shouldn't try to fix it but I can't help myself. LOL. Thanks again for the info.

well there's no harm in trying GLC, there's still good chance of success I just wouldn't change the tried and true for something that has a higher possibility of failure!
the method is as easy as you describe, colonize a small(er) jar of any grain, add clean sterile water, agitate/shake jar, draw liquid into syringe

Search grain water liquid cultures. You can use leftover grain water for LC.
