Hey all.
EDIT: It should be noted that I have always seen things through a slightly psychedelic lens. Walls moving? Yep. Even when I'm sober, but not nearly as noticeably. So I was probably tripping by normal standards before I even realized it.
I found a big morning glory vine near my optometrists' office. These plants contain relatively high levels of lysergic acid amide, a chemical cousin of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD).
I had heard that they were active, so I decided to give it a try. I took my new glasses out of their case, and picked a 50-50 bunch of fresh and dried seed pods, storing them in the case until I got home. I cut the pods open and took out the seeds (about 420 in all.... I'm not even kidding).
At about 5:50 PM, I started munching on fresh seeds, which taste quite fine, a bit like lentils. When I had finished my 200-odd fresh seeds, I poured all the dry ones into my mouth and began chewing. as well due to the fact that some testimonials report less violent nausea with fresh seeds. The dried seeds tasted like centipedes (don't ask...), and I had to spit them back out and eat them over time. I ate the seeds over the course of 50 minutes. I weigh 115lbs, stand 5'7" and am female.
Halfway through eating, I vaped two small bowls of sativa dominant cannabis to help with any nausea I might have experienced. I think this may have saved me from a very upset stomach. I also took a low dose of scopolamine, a nausea-abating compound.
At this point, I was feeling an incredible euphoria, and I started doing some sort of spastic, graceless dance and shouting about how great I felt.
The effects started slowly, and only became noticeable after nearly an hour and a half. The only unpleasant effect was some stomach pain, but I suspect that was due to some re-fried beans. The first effects I noticed were a slight brightening of colors, and minor auras. I sat down and waited (without success) for things to get interesting. I was getting bored, so I started playing Civilization 4. I got very caught up in flattening Alexander the Great.
As time went on, the LSA started to really kick in. I found myself unable to think clearly about the game, and started examining the terrain at maximum zoom, watching the grass and trees waving. I felt very heavy, a lot like one feels after smoking a great deal of a strong indica. I laid my head on my arm, and felt myself melt across the desk. Time slowed down, and a five minute period seemed to extend for days. My thoughts began to loop at this point; I often thought the same thing several times before it registered.
When I emerged from my empire building session, about an hour later, things were getting more interesting. Colors were much brighter, and things looked kinda fuzzy, a bit like they were made of felt. Whether my eyes were open or closed, I could see complex 3D fractal patterns.
I put on some of my favorite music, a combination of chillstep and Travis, a band from Glasgow My mind started to "intertwine", as best I can put it, with the music. I stared at my closet's double doors, which began to wave and morph madly. Sections of paneling stretched until they appeared to be no more than an inch wide; in reality, they were nearer a foot. At this point, everyone else was asleep, and I wasn't feeling as tripped out as I wanted, so I smoked another, larger bowl of cannabis.
After taking a single toke, my world exploded. I fell backward, and my pipe and lighter dropped out of my hands. I felt very relaxed and heavy, but my stomach hurt tremendously. This did not phase me however; the LSA had made everything seem pleasant, and I welcomed the feeling. As the high set in, the effects of the LSA were greatly amplified. I forced myself to sit up an finish the bowl, sending me rocketing into never-land.
I dragged (by my arms, like an army crawl) myself to my stash and put away my smoking gear. I crumpled back into bed as another tsunami of euphoria washed over me. at this point, I would put myself at a solid level 4.
I felt myself fly in and out of my head in a weird oscillatory pattern, rather like the peculiar feeling of dying or being "outside" one sometimes gets on dissasociatives.
I completely lost touch with reality at this point, hitting a lower end level 5. Things got very hard to explain. I kept seeing things as "abstract", which does not properly describe what I saw at all, unfortunately. Time slipped away at about 10:45. I sat or laid (I can't really remember) on my bed and watched my room, which looks like a museum even to a sober person, come alive. It was like being in Night At The Museum. Even my stuffed animals started walking.
I recall sticking a hand in my mouth, and clinging to my lower jaw with my fingers. Immediately afterwards, I felt myself stop existing. In my mind, there was no me. Everything was alive, everything was moving. My mouth turned into a fountain, and my room turned into something like a feudal Japanese brush painting mural (covered in breathing fractals), with hundreds of people and animals dancing about.
As this happened, "I", which I shall refer to as "it" due to it's alien-ness, felt as though it was one with every living thing. It felt like it contained all the life force in the universe, and as though it was spread across the entire universe over the whole of time. Somewhere in here, it developed the ability (which I retain, to an extent) to visualize higher spacial dimensions.
Around 11:45, it began to hear the voices of my family saying meaningless things over an over; these were the little conversation fillers everyone uses, but making up an insurmountably loud cacophony. Its mind began to produce other auditory effects, including a very soothing chillstep track which never actually existed.
By 12:00, it was experiencing the living world/connected-ness on top of another effect. This effect can be (inadequately) summed up as "everything broke into atoms". It saw the world in its smallest constituent parts, assembled out of complex structures of pulsating orbs, many of which had iridescent numbers floating within. After a point, it started seeing a infinitely long carbon nanotube. It zoomed into it, and began flying along the complex structure. Inside there were many glowing crystals flying by at even greater speed, and each existed in many different forms at one.
After this point, I can't explain anything. It was just too abstract, and I can't remember much.
I woke up the next morning around 9:00, and I was still tripping, but at a lower level. I still saw auras, and things still appeared to breathe, etc. My thought patterns were very trippy, and actually quite enjoyable. Unfortunately, I had to study. found myself unable to do simple tasks, and sank into an awful, awful feeling. Crap ensued, and I had a bad day. I think I would have liked it if I hadn't had to do work, however.
All in all, I enjoyed my experience fairly thoroughly, but will only use it when I know I have a few days to recover. Today is nearly 4 days after the trip, and only now am I back near baseline. I seem to have a mild case of HPPD (Hallucinogen Persisting Perception Disorder). Colors are (for now at least) a lot more vibrant, and sometimes things appear to breathe. Right now, for instance, my monitor appears to have a small sea of waves rolling across it, but they are hardly perceptible.
I would recommend that one study this compound relatively thoroughly before use, like with any recreational drug.
TL:DR I ate morning glory and had a very intense trip which lasted nearly 12 hours, with a several day afterglow.
