Do cow pastures host multiple species?

Let's assume you live in an area that has LOTS of cow pastures--like maybe 100 or more within a reasonable driving distance. You drive to Pasture #1 and find mushrooms growing from cow dung. Unfortunately, it's not a "magic" species. You check all the mushrooms in a 50 sq meter area, but they are all the same (non-active) species. Let's assume this means you've explored 10% of the pasture; 90% remains unchecked.
Question: Do you continue exploring Pasture #1 or drive to Pasture #2?
In other words, is it common for a single pasture to have multiple mushroom species (in which case you'd continue exploring Pasture #1), **OR** does a single species typically dominate a particular area (in which case you'd drive to Pasture #2)?

Yes, it's common for a single pasture to contain multiple species. In fact, I've never been in one that contains only one.

Keep exploring.
Youll never really know.
I know some pastures that give out different shrooms just a street distance(across!)

Gotta find that golden spot..unless your close to the coast you'll have to shop around. Don't waste your time out in the fields, look in the paddocks and or places where the farmer drops hay and the animals spend most of their time at, pans and cubes love hay

its very common to find them in only certain spots of the pasture check tree lines and fence lines. when you look in the middle of the pasture usually those mushrooms will become dried out and cooked because of amount of direct sunlight. where as if you look in shaded areas the opposite is true. there may be more moisture in the dung and surrounding area. also one you key in on the mushrooms slow down and look around. also there is more than one active species that grow on dung....
