My secret to well being 14
#22494545 - 11/08/15 07:38 AM (8 years, 2 months ago) |

I have arrived at a place where I have never been happier with my life or myself.
Life has just gotten so much happier, healthier, richer, more rewarding.
I feel so much more calm, content and peaceful and so much more established and secure and confident.
I am 28 and I have made a lot of mistakes, bad choices and hard learning for myself.
I have gone through a lot of hard times. I have had bad addictions (alcohol, blow, etizolam) , I have had chronic and sometimes suicidal depression, brutal anxiety And incapacitating panic attacks, psychotic breaks.
But all of that is fully behind me. I feel clear, lucid, I feel balanced, well. And I know I am improving daily.
I have learned a few things that are more valuable to me then any other knowledge.
Basically I can narrow the secret to a good life down to a few simple points (for me personally)
Just in case anyone else finds it helpful these are my key secrets to well being
1. Be careful what addictions you allow to develop.
I have dabbled in numerous drugs and many or them were nothin but had news, damage and harm.
I finally found a drug system that enriches my life enormously without harsh consequences.
I use almost exclusively the following drugs :
Cannabis, coffee and Kratom . Or as I call it flower, leaf and bean.
These are the pillars of my life. My depression and anxiety are literally a thing of the past and I am happy and content the vast majority of the time and my health is excellent.
I am extremely strict about not using other drugs except psychedelics like dmt, mushrooms or ayahuasca:
In particular it's so important not to use benzos, cocaine, tobacco, and any toxic drug like synthnoids, as well as opiates.
This is based on my own life experience. And now that I have all other drugs out of my life I feel incredible and my life has been transformed for the better. I am also extremely moderate about drinking reserving it only for special and social occasions and never drinking anything but red wine or fine beer and never allowing myself to become hung over.
2. Exercise: daily intense exercise , cycling between various kinda of work outs, especially yoga, martial arts and weights .
Exercise is the core of life. Every day, 1-3 hours of vigorous exercise. And emphasizing yoga and martial arts.
3. Meditation , every day , 1-3 hours, cycling between silent breathing meditations and mantra chanting meditations.
4. Diet: emphasizing vegetables, fruits and game meats such as elk, venison, moose, freshwater fish etc and strictly avoiding highly processed foods, refined sugars, preservatives and trans fats.
5. Sleep: as Much as possible, early to bed and early to rise, regular and consistent sleep Schedule, and always writing down all dreams first thing upon waking up.
That's it. Five steps that after a lifetime of experience had allowed me to finally arrive at a place Of genuine well being. I feel good, happy, healthy, content, confident, vigorous, vital and strong.
A life based on Safe natural plant medicines , athleticism and exercise, yoga and meditation and connection to the inner life and spirituality.
This, combined with prioritizing love, relationships and strong healhy social bonds, is what I have identified as the key principles to a content life, and as long as I follow this path I know I don't need to worry that I am wasting my life .
A day where I write down my dreams, do yoga, meditate, eat well and ethically, and hug my wife and tell her I love her is a day well lived, and a life composed of days well lived is a good life.
I only wish I had lived this way consistently from the very start. But I am grateful all the suffering of bad addictions and lost opportunities for self development are behind me.
I know who I am. I know where I am going. I know what I have to do.

I love this post. I have been doing the same basically. Weed makes me dull and anxious but generally coffee and kratom I find are safe. Stick to the lower dosage ends and you function perfectly fine in most situations
Yoga and meditation really begin to unlock a lot in the human mind

Hang tough all my brothers and sisters Breathe deep Seek peace Have faith in the universe that created you and sustains you Rejoice in your physical incarnation on this plane Savour every breath Be grateful for every heart beat Cleave to love and fill your heart with compassion and wisdom Make of yourself and your life an offering to the divine And make the fulfillment of your highest potential an act of worship Whatever your work , however humble Make it an act of karma yoga Serving all beings as manifestations of the one Rejoice in the creation that embodies the Divine mind The universal soul, the architect, the dreamer In whose dream we live and breathe and have our being And we too are dreamers And our dreams have the potence of sorcery For we are souls , citizens of two worlds Empowered to walk between the planes And dreams are our gateway to infinity Spirit walkers In a spiritual realm Knowing that beyond this world of maya Lies enlightenment, nirvana, liberation And fixing our eyes on the goal of transcendence We attain to the summit of ascension.

How do you consider yourself to be well if you seem to worry about every other world event? Seems like a stressful lifestyle.

That's beautiful moonshoe. I'm your age and feel like I'm just starting to become good. I've never had any addictions, unless you consider sugar. But I've had problems with my mentality such as depression and ptsd. I hope to one day feel as true as you.

My recognition of the impending global catastrophes motivated me to transcend anxiety through spiritual living. I no longer follow the news or worry about the impending global catastrophes . I know and accept that it is coming , and I have prepared extensively . Having prepared physically, I have turned my attention to preparing emotionally and spiritually. I no longer follow the news or study the coming catastrophes.
Instead I meditate, practice yoga, and spiritual living. This has allowed me to cultivate a sense of inner peace and contentment.
My anxiety levels are at a historic low. My depression is a thing of the past.
And i know my state of consciousness is continuing to progress towards liberation and enlightenment as I continue my practice of spiritual disciplines on a daily basis.
As I attain a state of peace I prepare for the next phase, shift includes spiritual use of DMT as part of a ceremonial ritual process, as well as cultivating a return to lucid dreaming , out of body experiences, ayahuasca shamanism, ritual and ceremonial magick etc.
Recognition of the impending global catastrophes was the catalyst I needed to commit fully to what has always been my purpose in life - attaining enlightenment through spiritual discipline.
Just as the Buddha was catalyzed to attain enlightenment through recognition of the inevitability of death ( when he first saw a corpse) and went on to meditate under the Bodhi tree, my own recognition of the impermanence of this world has steeled my resolve to achieve spiritual transcendence
Thank you for all the kind words and positive comments and contributions.
The only way to make peace with the inevitability of ones death is to be certain you are living your life the best possible way. The greatest fear is not truly death but rather a wasted life.
Rare and precious is this human incarnation, fleeting and uncertain is life, therefore delay not nor procrastinate but turn your efforts toward awakening and liberation.
Attachment to that which is impermanent is the root of suffering, the eightfold noble path is the way to the end of suffering .
To the Buddha, the Dharma and the excellent Sangha I go for refuge until Bodhi is realized . May I awaken quickly for the benefit of all beings.
I now sit and resume meditation once again.
Namaste.

Thanks man thank all of you guys. I hope some of you will join me in this journey even if it's just a single yoga class or 15 minutes of meditation.
I have been feeling really positive and well lately, so I know it's time for me to get serious. Tomorrow on my day off I am going to wake up, do yoga, meditate and then sit at my altar, do a magical ritual and at the climax of the ceremony I am going to smoke a big hit of cannabis with dmt sandwiched in it; from my stone pipe, And then as it hits me I am going to stare into the eyes of Krishna on the painting in front of my altar and hold that gaze for the entire trip while I chant the maha mantra.
I hope this will catapult me to enlightenment.
My buddy keeps telling me I need To try salvia. I have a gram of 30x extract but dmt seems far more appealing to work with.
I am also going to eat the mushroom chocolates I have, probably enough for a threshold dose.
It's taken me a while but I feel like I am finally psychically ready to resume my psychedelic shamanism.
I also plan to lie in bed (on the mushrooms, cannabis and Kratom ) and do 3 Consecutive hours of binaural beats meditation - alpha, theta then delta.
During the theta phase I will attempt to astral project / induce an OBE.
I am also going to make one more change- I am going to sacrametalize my cannabis use, chanting the shiva mantra an offering the smoke to shiva each time I use, as the Hindu sadhus do.
This all represents "phase two" of my enlightenment project.

Juicing is a great cheat here, when I start noticing im eating too much junk and not enough fruits/veggies, I just pull out the juicer and force my self to drink one veggie juice and one fruit juice a day, and in less then a week, I find my self going for the fruits/veggies for a snack instead of the chips/chocolait

I dont sleep at all, I eat like 15 gravol to sleep, I guess that crossed 1 and 5 off my list. 1 out of 5 I scored on your quiz, no wonder im not happy
