ebay pressure cookers
    #22494240 - 11/08/15 04:12 AM (8 years, 2 months ago)

My PC doesn't hold pressure any more, it's 8 years old and the seal is shot. I was looking on ebay and there are a few that seem to good to be true. 11L capacity for under 30 quid, and free shipping.
Would they even be safe? And would they reach the required pressure? They claim 15 pounds of pressure and meets all safety regulations.
Would you trust em? Have any of you lot used or owned a cheap unbranded PC? I'm broke at the min. So this is my only option, other than not getting one at all.
Here's a link, it's the aluminium bit that worries me, not the strongest metal :/

I just realised my old one was aluminium, as are pretty much all pressure cookers haha. Sorry for my stupidity. I was convinced my old one was stainless steel, but it's not. Thanks for the speedy reply loc, can't believe the price still, I had it in my head that they must be shit at such a bargain price.

You may also be able to replace the seal on the old one.  A lot of these pressure cooker companies have been around 30+ years.

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister.  I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave.  I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent.
Triggered yet?

No, this does not look right...

:whathesaid: one of my PCs I don't think they even make anymore and I can still find replacement seals. As long as the PC itself is in good shape, not warped from boiling dry or anything check for a new seal.

Also 8 years is a lot of service, but take your old seal out and give it a stretch, wipe it and the contact surfaces clean. You may get it to work until you get a new one.
