newbie question about aborts

So, im a newbie grower of cubensis. I have this casing that i have gotten two flushes from. Now on the third flush, i saw alot of pinning and some got growing, then it all stopped. And i realized it was a bit to cold for the mushrooms, i have a heating pad, but it was unplugged for a couple of days, and my apartment is cold. Also i think, maybe it got to dry.
the mushrooms didnt get any bigger. I was thinking, maybe its cause they got dry, cold or my substrate doesnt have any more to give.
Anyways, i watered them and turned the heat up, hoping for the best. today two new pinnings come up.
So the question is, are all the other mushrooms that wont grow anymore aborts? Should i pick them or can they grow again?

Abort itself have mostly Black heads. That will Not grow anyways. They should be picked before they starting to rot.
By Bad conditions the mushrooms itself are growIng rly Slow.
I Would w8 1-2 days and let EM grow. Most time they will Recover aslong they are no real Aborts.

mushrooms that stop growing are aborts. they won't grow again. i try to pick them off during harvest, but its annoying, so i don't get all of them. its not a bad idea to get em off there though.
if its 3rd flush, i would dunk it for a few hours.

Aborts generally are safe to leave until you harvest the whole flush. They usually don't rot in that amount of time. You may be doing more harm than good with a heating pad. What's your temps with/without it? I always fruit it pretty cool temps because the fruits are more dense.

Heat the room, not the tub, if you're worried about cold temps affecting your grow. Anything lower than 60f will result in a bit of stalling. But, as stated before, fruiting in colder temps will result in nice, dense fruits, it just might take a bit longer to fully mature.

Change your conditions, and see if they'll grow more. You said you're working with casings, so i assume you have a bulk grow in progress. Try to restuff the polyfill tighter in the holes closest to the substrate and dial in the top holes looser. This will usually result in better FAE and more pin formations. And, if the surface looks a bit dry, mist it!
