Intrested in infos about the degrafted astros. How big they were when you degrafted, how what stock, and what did you do to root them?

They were that same size when degrafted from pereskiopsis, they haven't grown appreciably since degrafting as I did it at the end of the growing season and now they're dormant.
To root them I cut, treated the cut area with rooting powder dissolved in a tiny bit of isopropyl and then diluted with distilled water. I just soak the bottom of them in that for a bit, take them out and dry them off with a paper towel, then let them air dry and callous. Once roots start to pop out of the bottom I put them in dry soil. Ask me again next year if it's successful, they haven't been put to the test of watering yet. I have a bad track record keeping own-root astros alive in my cold and humid climate and find them much harder to grow than lophophora and trichocereus.
From what I've heard, getting A. asterias to root is difficult, I find that myriostigmas are not that bad. YMMV
Next year I may do a degrafting write-up, still dialing things in and seeing if my new techniques actually work the way I want them too. So far so good but it's still too early to know for sure.

Exactly my thoughts. You have some beautiful plants and some very nice grafts.
