Back in the day I almost went all in and got an all american PC but decided not ot.
I dont understand how a pressure cooker/caner that does the exact same thing and holds the same quantity costs $200 more? Am I missing something here? Is it made of some exotic metal or does it have more gadgets? Enlighten me please.
Same concept as vehicles...like the AA's being Cadillacs, while my presto is more like a Honda...still goes the speed limit just fine.

Yea dude when you see one in person you'll get it. Its machined alluminum, metal to metal seal which requires no gasket. It will last several lifetimes while my presto looks beat up already. Essentially one doesnt do the job better than the other (except when it comes to spawn bags IMO), its just the AA is super heavy duty.

I own a Walmart special and an AA. The cheapo does the job fine but it's so nice to be able to look at a gauge and stop wondering if your running 15 psi constant. I always have to dick with the stove temp when using the cheapo, it's a pain to get the weight to chatter (set 15 psi unit), the thicker AA tends to hold temp a lot better.

I just put a 10c coin on my presto and it jiggles right after it reaches 15 psi. My burners are a bitch to set either too high or too low. So with this its just perfect. Someone on here had reccomended it but I didn't really think about it until I had the burner trouble. Presto seems to hold 15pai really good if you set the burner good

I find there are two adjustments with glass in the Mirro, one drop in heath around 15 minutes, and another one at around 50 minutes. I assume these are the glass hitting temperature and the contents of the jar hitting temperature.
With plastic, there is just one adjustment at like 25-30 minutes, since the plastic has no heat capacity to speak of.
I don't like to hear my jiggler rattle at all though, just a contanst rocking hiss.
With plastic it's so easy to set I often end up having only like 4-5 rattles per run.

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

Thanks for all the info on the PC my dudes. Saves me a lot of research lol.
I usually don't like to buy cheap, as I am a person who believes in, "you get what you pay for" But I just cant bring myself to drop $200 on a PC when I can spend $70 and get the same thing. All I'm looking to do is to kill really small things that I cannot see and the cheaper of the two will do that just fine based on the info I've gathered. So thanks again guys.
Maybe after I get these things grown and get a few pounds out the door haha, I will upgrade to baller status.

It's true that both do the same thing but they are definitely not the same. That AA PC is a goddam beast of a tank.

Presto 23, they are ok but if you run it dry once they are ruined forever.
AAs can run dry and not warp, that's according to the cust. service department at AA. If you're at all forgetful, and who isn't from time to time, I'd go with an AA...

I have never accidentally ran the pressure cooker dry, that sounds like it would be a very easy mistake to avoid.

That's funny my presto holds temp just fine on a gas range set it at 8 then when it reaches 15 psi drop it down to around 4 to 4.25 and it holds fine. Not to say AAs are not better made structurally but how many runs do you do a month maybe 6? Personally for 200$ cheaper it is a no brainer.

Personally the rocker weight noise drives me nuts, being able to convert the AA to keep it quiet is a big plus.
