Humidity and shrooms. 1

This is my first post here, hello everybody! I had my first mushroom trip 1 month ago and it was a really profound experience. I felt very happy, introspective and had a wonderful body high without ever feeling any anxiety or nausea, however I didn't see any change in vision. I bought 3.5 grams of shrooms and stored them in my basement, which is very humid. I noticed that when I ate them a week later that they were now chewy instead of crispy. I'm wondering if by storing them in a humid environment for a week the potency was decreased? I'm asking because this winter break I'm gonna go on a 5 gram trip and I wanted to make sure my point of reference was accurate.

Welcome to Shroomery! Dry mushrooms gaining moisture can definitely decrease their potency, but I wouldn't have thought a week would cause a drastic reduction.

welcome to the Shroomery!
It would be a good idea to dry those stale shrooms and store them in an air tight container such as a small jar or freezer type ziplock bag.
Not only does moisture cause potency reduction over time, but moisture in your shrooms can make your shrooms mold and thats bad, health wise.
Keep em dry! Store them dry.

So if I store them in an air tight container, will it be okay to keep them in a humid room? I keep them in my basement because it has so many hidden compartments and such that none of my family members know about, lol.

Yes, air tight container in a humid environment is fine. As long aas you dont leave thee container open for long periods of time when u are getting/adding shrooms.
