Marilyn Manson's Autobiography: The Long Hard Road Out Of Hell * 1
    #22492665 - 11/07/15 07:43 PM (8 years, 2 months ago)

Anyone else read this book?

Something like 6 years ago I got this book from a girlfriend in high school for an Xmas gift.

Since then I've read it at least once a year and sometimes a few times a year. I don't even listen to Manson much anymore, I'll listen to Antichrist Superstar or maybe the compilation album Lest we Forget every once in a while but that's about it.

I dunno what I like about this book so much but it's a kick ass fucking read. It takes me less than 2 days to read the whole book lol.

Check it out.

I see that book at the book store I work at all the time. One day, maybe, I'll read it...

just go on youtube and watch interviews. i seriously cannot imagine that MM had an interesting life outside of his performances and his being Marilyn Manson...i mean, sexcapades aside, his bio can't be that interesting.

Ernest Hemmingway...there you might have an interesting story.

just...my opinion. it can't be a bad read if you're into MM, so whatever man. get it, and peruse it, and you will be seeing dark alleyway blowjobs around every corner. so OP: what was it about? i mean, what he do? i know he was a critic for some magazine at some point, before he started Manson.

I like some of MM stuff, will have to check this book out, thanks for the suggestion.

When I am done reading Paradise Lost I will probably look into buying this.

levels of hell that is pictured on one of the pages, think its towards the end.

read it in high school ('03ish)
read it again a few years ago

after reading it as an adult
I get the feeling most of it is made up
there seem to be a few inconstancies and many of the stories seem way over the top

Is he fairly open about using satanic nonsense to generate publicity or does he claim to actually believe in any of that stuff? I'm just going on assumptions here, but he seems to be intelligent enough to realise that acting like you're some devil worshiper on the verge of sacrificing kids to Moloch gets you limitless free advertising.

i'm sure he'd probably say that it's what you put inside (the intention) such a belief that enacts what will be enacted, with "magic".

Satanism is not so bad if you read about it, I think it gets a really bad image from a number of people that claim to be Satanists and then do stupid shit, like go on a killing spree in the name of Satanism.

I always thought Satanism was about being human and not denying the wants of the flesh, and being against religion, I can get behind that.

that's just bullshit Satanism. you might as well call it humanis, look you ever heard of "Might is Right"? that book had a lot of passages lifted from it. it's a god damn book about social Darwinism, not...not empowering at all unless you're a complete asshole, but that isn't even real Satanism either, obviously.

trust me: Satanism is not about self-empowerment. it's about marching, with the Dark One as YOUR Emissary and Master.

Yeah? I thought it was just a publicity stunt. I don't really have sufficient interest in the guy to really check it out, but if it is just the so-called satanism that is basically just a rip off of Nietzsche's philosophy, I suspect he still deliberately portrayed himself as basically evil so he'd get free publicity from conservative press. Which is a great move, really. He did have a few good songs at one point, but I think he stopped giving a fuck and made entire albums that he probably wrote in a day later on.

If you look back at the gays you get turned into salt regardless of your satanic beliefs. Lot's wife's autobiography is full of references to her satanism and she still got hella salt pillared.

LOL. TRUST ME. that's all you get. what, do you want me to fetch you some proof? commit yourself to the guy downstairs and see what happens...or you can stick with fighting the good fight, and pray there is a God.

because there is no "real satanism" in Le Vey he is a charade...his proposes to make an "anti-spiritual" religion, definitely secular, which is not to say it isn't a religion...it's a religion of man, but it's under the guise of Satanism, but it has nothing to do with it.

Satanism isn't about anything but sacrifice; no, not in the loving way, but in the mad way. it's about being in sublime dominion with the Darkness inside the Worthless one. it's the way of the mad; anything else secular has nothing to do with it.

a Satanist kills, a Satanist takes commands only from the tenants of the Dark filled abyss. under the right guise he will do whatever he wants, not what thou wilt, but what thy ahcm....It,...It commands. anything unconscious, evil, and preferable, Satanic; the wilful ignorance of love of light, and the intent to shine darkness, falsity, maleficence to the human and animal race, yes, even animals. shedding blood and strike the light of where it stands breathing it in like the corpses eye expunges it as it reaps it's benefit.

Another Koran thumper... I knew it! I can tell by the random capitalization of words as if they're more important.

Read your bible - all of it - page 1 ~ 1900, without skipping any parts.

Then come back here and tell us how you became an atheist. LMAO!
