Bay Area ID Request
    #22487636 - 11/06/15 06:26 PM (8 years, 2 months ago)

I found these in some damp grass in a field in San Jose. Anybody know if these are active? It's about 2 inches tall. The fruit appeared grey at first but a day later it was tan with a darker tan nipple in the middle of the cap.

I found these yesterday. Are these active? Would a spore print help to ID?

Definitely not active.  No spore print needed, it will be dark brown.  Compare with Agaricus californicus.

I thought these looked like cyanescens when comparing them to other pics. I'm still trying to train my eye  Thanks for the ID.

Don't compare pictures. Compare descriptions and supplement with pictures.
