Scented desiccant okay?

So at my local grocery store, they didn't have any damp rid but they did have something that was very similar. I'll post a pic of the label on here so you can see exactly what I'm talking about. The concern though is that it's scented? Could this possibly be an issue for drying? I plan on using a Tupperware chamber, with a wire mesh holding the booms a few inches above the desiccant "bag".

desiccant is for keeping shrooms cracker dry. dehydrators are for getting them there. desiccant is optional if you use an air tight jar they stay cracker dry months and months. dehydrators do two things to ensure potency is as good as it can be in dried fruits. they heat to 160F and that will stop any degradation of the actives by the cells during death and they dry in less than 24 hours which is better than drying taking more than a day (Fan) or days (desiccant chamber stuff)

I know dehydrators are better, looking for opinion on whether or not this desiccant can get that last bit of water out of my mushies. They've been fan drying for about 2 days

Make sure you pour the desiccant out of the bag into the tupperware container ...I usually keep the wire mesh about an inch above the desiccant. It looks like the stuff you have should work (not sure if the shrooms will be affected by the scent, aside from maybe smelling lemony fresh).

If you are getting into the hobby hit up walmart for a cheap dehydrator or invest in a nice one! You'll thank yourself.
I wouldn't want my fungi being scented so I would pass on that.

Agreed. This isn't a hobby where you start cutting corners.
