Ps cubensis ID please
    #22486493 - 11/06/15 02:44 PM (8 years, 2 months ago)

Hey I found a number of shrooms today growing in a cow pasture in North Carolina. Can anyone identify them as pscylocybin cubensis or not? Half of them were growing directly on cow manure while the other half were no more than a foot from a pile. They have hollow stems and have an earthy smell. Any knowledge on these shrooms would be nice.
Thanks

No on cubes. "If it isn't blue it's not for you" is a good rule of thumb for amateurs. Also notice the color of the stem and the formation of the cap. You should see blue bruising along the stem and sometimes mycelium depending on what you're looking for. Any general rule of thumb does have its exceptions but not these. :sorry:

Happy picking and stay safe! Every hunter deserves to come home every night unscathed.
