Psilocybe Cyanescen mycelium

I'm trying to grow some cyanescen mycelium indoors over winter to be placed in my garden come spring. It's my first time growing and I followed few basic guides and prepared some tubs to colonize. It's been about 4 days, and in one of the tubs where i scraped spores and placed some fresh mycelium has started growing....
Are the white frond looking things mycelium (or possibly mold)? And if so, does anyone have any tips on how to keep it alive / promote growth? It's currently in a sealed tupperware container of shredded & sterilized alder wood.

Wo wo wo wait a minute. The op got cyan spores to germinate by scraping them onto wet wood? That is friggin awesome. First time that I have seen that happen. Looks like healthy mycelium to me

That actually is pretty cool if he did it. Wonder if Cyans are just aggressive enough to be able to do this?

Well it happens in the wild all the time.
Hey shroom forager. How old was the print. I assume fairly new by your handle.
I noticed that the wood lovers usually start out at the base of ornamental grass. These plants have really furry stalks and are sticky/sappy. I think the fuzz catches the spores and the sap gives them the boost they need to germinate. Not really related to this but kind of.

The prints came from mature cyans i had just picked and after laying the caps on paper for 24 hours I scraped them off in big clumps that were visible all over the wood... I left the container outside for 2 days before bringing it in because I heard lower temps can help them start off well..?

That'll do it! Clumps of spores and very aggressive wood-munching genetics, keep those chips very moist but not soaking(hence cold temps helping it take off) and watch the mycelial threads weave their magic!!!

Awesome. The mycelium will grow good at room temps. It does not need to be cold.

Yes, I should have clarified that.
