Mold or bruising on mushroom stem?
    #22485415 - 11/06/15 10:35 AM (8 years, 2 months ago)

So this mushroom has been givin me problems since day one. It pinned in the jar and got bruised pretty good on birthday, it eventually turned back to the whiter color on the stem. Then when it came time to harvest, it was very firmly attached so it probably got bruised again cuz it took some force to get off. In the following pic, you're looking inside the stem basically. It's hard to tell in the pic but I'm reality it looks like a light blue coloring inside. What are the guesses on bruising vs contam? It's been drying for a day or two

Def just bruising.

Considering spores can survive the vacuum of space, I would assume it's safe to say that mushrooms are on every planet waiting for the right conditions to present themselves. What it all boils down to, is aliens are on shrooms.
