I would keep the phone for potential calls from employers that I want to work for.

We just got to the job totals of 2007 about 6 months ago, it took 7 years to get back to that level and that doesn't take into account population growth. Also, most of the new jobs are part time low paying service jobs. Why would anyone be bragging about employment in the US unless there's a political agenda?

id just use a friends number then call them back or have my friend pretend to be me, or just not even put a number, just walk in and talk to them in person a couple days after u turned it in. for me personally a phone is just the most useless waste of money that provides zero entertainment value, thats only worth is for roadside emergency's. if you lose a job and arn't sure when you'll get another that $60+ a month adds up. i get what your saying tho alot of people are addicted to their phones and would keep it tho. But on the other hand people who are chronically out of work most likely can't even afford it if they wanted one

they spend alot of gas mining those tar sands tho, i can't remember the ratio but it didn't seem very logical. from a buisness perspective it might be profitable, but from a resource perspective we are just throwing oil away doing it. trains are actually really efficient for the amount of stuff they haul around, problem is we buy oil, then export oil because we just like to do things twice for no real reason.

yeah, because there is almost nothing to gain from that pipeline except increased chances of pipeline spills. let them spill the shit on their own pristine wilderness.

Wait wait, I havent read any actual reports on anything, but wouldn't rail carts be much less polluting than the a pipe line in the event of major spills? Cause rail carts are each individually contained, making it hard for a major spill. Maybe they spill more micro bits in the loading process? I've never done or read up about it. Also, the complicatedness of it all haha gives more oil company jobs, helpin' out the little guy.
We really gotta figure out how to refine it ALL in Canada. That'd be nice. More more step in the country is one more step!

Not really, if harper wasn't such a dipshit this wouldn't matter seeing as were just gonna continue shipping it to China. He dumped a ton of money into the project already however so we lost a tidy sum of money in the process. Fucking conservatives.

Without the pipeline, Warren Buffett and Bill Gates have job security with their involvement with the railroads used to ship all the oil. The unemployment rate is more along the lines of 42%. Worker population of 204 million with 94 million out of the workforce. That's 46% and a far cry from the claims of 5%.
This article claims unemployment is 60%. Should be an interesting read when I get to it.
