Cambodians for Christmas - is 6 weeks enough?

Hi everyone, first time posting, first time cultivating. I'm starting my Cambodian spores on a honey water solution today. I'm planning to use the resulting liquid with BRF cakes in half pint wide mouth jars, incubated between 80F and 84F and fruiting them in a shotgun chamber.
My question is, will I be able to make the LC, inoculate jars, leave jars to develop for a week after full colonization, dunk, pin, fruit, and reach at least one harvest by 20 Dec when I'm set to leave town for vacation (roughly 6 weeks)? If not, should I colonize jars and refrigerate until I get back or should I keep the LC and wait to colonize my jars until I return? Thanks in advance for the advice, I'm confident in the information I've obtained from this site, I'm not so sure about how long each step takes and how much the LC speeds up colonization of my BRF cakes.

LC made from spore solution is fairly unreliable. Many syringes may not be clean enough to make an LC, which requires extremely clean inoculant. In addition, if you do make a dirty LC and inoculate all your jars with it, they'll all be toast. There's no harm in using a drop of spore solution then testing your LC on a BRF agar substitute plate though.
I don't think making LC starting now will even be faster. IME, LC grows slower than mycellium on BRF cakes, the germination time is the same, so you won't really be saving any time by making it, more likely wasting time. Go ahead and inoculate your jars with your syringe if you want to try to get it done, otherwise just save the syringe and test the LC when you return.
The typical timeline would be: Germination ~ 1 week Colonization ~ 1-2 weeks Consolidation ~ 1 week Fruiting to harvest of 1st flush ~ 1-2 weeks
I would say you have a very good chance of getting it done. You may not be around to get all the flushes. It is possible though unlikely that you could get boned by a two week spore germination time. Not likely with cambodians since they're a popular variety and the syringe should be pretty fresh.
Also, 80-84F is hotter than you would want, as that kind of temp promotes contams more than it promotes mushroom mycellial growth. 65-75F is about where you'd want it.
If you're concerned about saving your syringe's genetic material, make some BRF agar substitute plates, put a drop of spore solution on each, and refridgerate once you have say a quarter sized patch of growth. They'll keep a good long while. You can probably make some kind of janky liquid inoculant out of the plates by sucking mycellium up into a syringe and shooting it into some small cakes.

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

While i agree lower temps are safer, if you did everything right and everything is good, higher temps make myc fly. I keep my lab between 78 & 82

You may be able to get a harvest by then.
If you are using a spore syringe and doing cakes I would just inoculate them with the syringe.
Save a few drops to put to agar to keep things going.
But yea... while no guarantee on times because of many variables... 6 weeks should get you there.
Normally I would say save your syringe for agar work then noc grains with wedges, but since you are shooting for Christmas I would probably just do them via normal PF-Tek.
If you are into agar you could do some grains as well for bulk. But I doubt 6 weeks will get you there with grains, etc.

I would skip the LC and just inoculate BRF diirectly with spores.
BRF is a bit forgiving in that aspect while LC is not. Use LC when you have more experience and can inoculate it with a clean culture

Thanks everyone, I think I'll skip the LC.

No harm in trying to make it. It only takes one drop of spore soltion. It will need to best tested before use though. But if it does happen to be clean it's pretty nice.
