Heya shroomery! Im just another new user who has been lurking on these forums for a while without signing up. I really enjoy this place and look forward to being apart of these forums more ^_^ Without further ado, here are some snaps I took a few weeks ago of some cool looking mushy that were facing a busy road. I had been driving past them every day, telling myself to go take a picture of em already. By the 4th day I finally got myself to take it! (wished I had sooner seeing as it dried out a bit)

Here's a bonus pic of another I saw on a walking trail. What kind of mushy is this, anybody know?

P.S. Please let me know if there's a better category to place this kind of post. Thanks!

It's an Amanita species, which one I don't know.
When trying to identify Amanita to species, it's important to get pictures of the whole specimen, with emphasis on the base of the stipe, which will offer clues as to what you have found.
Welcome, happy hunting.

Some further reading for you, scroll down and you will see how much the base of the stipe (stem) can vary between each species.

And keep in mind that critical features of the base can be under the duff/litter or soil, requiring carefully exposing them without damaging them much.

Except that the larger two are very likely a Russula species.

Ate a grisette, Amanita pachycolea. Pretty tastey although rather mild. Lucky to have spotted it, it still had its white membrane (term?) over the cap, and was growing in an oak forest that had at least 100 Amanita Phalloides growing.

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

Awesome that you stopped and took pictures.
I once seen a giant mushroom in the middle of a tree and always wanted to take a pic but it decayed too fast.
