well i how it's okay that i just add with my own stuff.  so over my weekend i decided to drive off to warrenton, OR to go on a random mushroom first ever mushroom hunt and i did some looking around on here and learned a lot from all of you but me being my 1st time ever going out picking i always want to be on the safe side and get your opinion on if i got the correct mushrooms

and that is why i will always ask :wink: so even with the blueish purplish bruising so what are some more things to look for when out side

That's not bruising, that's just the color they are. And that is purple, when it's blue you'll know it, it's pretty unmistakable. Just keep posting here and you'll get the hang of it eventually

It is worth pointing out as well that purple bruising is not a feature significant to psilocybian mushrooms. This is often a point of confusion wtih Psilocybe as mushrooms of that genus have purple/purple-brown spores which often accumulate on the mushroom. The actual bruising in psilocybian mushrooms is blue, though it may in yellow, orange or straw fleshed mushrooms appear green or blue-green. They are distinct and unrelated phenomena.

thank you everyone and what kind of environment do the ufo'live in in the area where I was there is like razor grass, smaller pines, larger pine and then there is alder aND each place has different kinds buy anywhere good to look would also be a big help
