My mother doesn't like my facial hair. My last ex and the chick I'm seeing now both don't want me to shave. Needless to say, I'm not shaving. I haven't been clean shaven for 3 years I think

Last time I heard her say anything about the beard was probably a month and a half ago when she asked this chick if I should shave it off, and she was like "OH, NO!". I think at that point my mom just gave up with the girls I get with and just accepted the fact that my facial hair is here to stay.

I think there's a growing trend towards facial hair on men, not just from the men themselves, but from women too.
Possibly a backlash to the 'metrosexual' think that was in a little while ago?

tho you can still be kinda metro-sexual and have a bear. At least, can be feminine. Either way though, I much prefer having a beard so the trend is welcome

Only thing I don't like about my facial hair is that the mustache and the beard don't connect and the area under the lips isn't as hairy as the rest of my face. That shit probably won't kick in for another few years

I'm obviously not a lady but I can tell you what my wife has said on the matter. She prefers it when I'm all scruffy, and the only time I'm allowed to have a mustache is when it's part of the goatee look. In her words, a mustache and nothing else just makes people look creepy.

Sometimes when I shave I'll leave the mustache on for a few minutes, walk around the house and scare the cats. I wouldn't dare go into public bearing that nostril broom though. Girls mostly think I'm sexiest when I have a little scruff, but no longer than 1/4 inch. It gets bushy and the skin gets all funky from being to thick to scrape all the dead skin away. Next time you shave a large beard, take a shower and scrape your face repeatedly with your fingernails. You'll be disgusted at the amount of greasy dead skin that accumulates under there.

I fucking love it. Guys have to keep it trimmed though. I don't want to be seen with some raggedy looking wooly mammoth. However, the only thing that pisses me off about it is that where I live, there's like this hipster/yuppie type trend where all the guys have the same hair cut, facial hair look, and clothes. It's really gross and annoying. They're like a bunch of clones. Just be you, keep your facial hair looking nice n trimmed and you're good. I think it's nice to rub my face up against a well trimmed beard. Makes guys look nice and manly.

I enjoy a good beard. I like to tug a bit on them and play with them. Even when my male friends have them I like touching them for some reason too. Of course after getting permission. Haha Mustaches are good too.
Of course it needs to be maintained and cleaned/trimmed. But I don't mind whatever length. I just really admire some facial hair on men. I honestly prefer it.
Mmm beards.

And I can grow a mighty beard, It lasted 5 days a few Novembers ago, I felt like smut though.

Facial hair is trendy right now in popular culture, so of course chicks love it. Hipster mustaches and lumberjack beards. Don't forget your man bun and skinny pants to top off the look.

Why the hell wouldn't you shave just because it's November?
Am I just weird? After a 4-5 days of not shaving, that shit starts itching like crazy. I can't take that shit. I don't shave for 4-5 days because I'm lazy as fuck when it comes to it. The itching drives me so insane I can't take it anymore.
It's only the stuff I shave away that itches though. I suppose if I could make a month or two it wouldn't be much of a problem, my goatee isn't a problem.

depends whether or not they are ovulating. as for it being itchy to grow, you are touching it too much and not allowing natural oils to take their part most likely. do you happen to throw on a bunch of strong chemicals when you shower

No, I don't even use soap on my face. The only thing that really ever goes on my face is shaving cream, and that's not the issue or things would be backwards. I don't touch it either. The only facial hair I play with is my goatee and that's just me trying to train it to go down rather than poof up.
I don't use soap on my face because when I was a teen I found out how badly it fucked with my skin. Doctor said to just scrub with a rag and water and avoid adding soap and stuff and never had the problem again.

Generally I agree but he was right in this case. If I had asked some random person, they'd have me using all kinds of acne creams, hydrocortisone, flipping my diet upside down and a bunch of other shit. The problem was simply putting soap on my face.

No-shave-november . I typically shave weekly or so but I have an excuse to see how it grows out every year or so.
And it's pretty normal to itch, happens to me too. If you let it go a few more days it goes away.
It still comes it patchy for me still, but as an almost 19 year old I still have hope for my facial hair hah

Well I'm not really interested in having a full beard, no reason for me to stick it out. Yes I know "no shave November" it was more of a comment on how the fuck you could even deal with that. By that fourth or fifth day, the itching is driving me insane and I simply cannot take it anymore. Right now the itching is already starting because I haven't shaved in a few days, by tomorrow or the next day, I'm going to be constantly clawing at my face until I decide to do it. The itching just doesn't really stop once I hit that annoyance level. Every few minutes my face is driving me nuts.
The weird thing is, it's only on particular parts. Namely under my chin. The stuff on my cheeks rarely bothers me.

I'm more interested because it makes it a possibility I guess. IDK. I think it's a little dumb for younger kids like myself to have beards.
For me the itch is right on my chin, like before the jaw line but where you would want it growing in for a goatee. I have a real strong jaw line though so it's hard to explain. It's the area where it grows thickest at first for me. It's bearable and if it gets bad I just shower or put on some face lotion or take a shower.
I've actually gone about two weeks now, I didn't bother/remember to shave on halloween lol. Still itchy but it will go away within a few days hopefully.

My chin part is the only thing that gets annoying because it gets thick and rubs on my pillow like spikes . Other than that it feels a lot better not shaving then it does to be shaven

I keep a close cropped beard.
I used to have a chinstrap but then I realized how gay that shit is so now I just have a full beard.

Everybody likes a stubble

I've had a stubble for like a year nos and I'm never going back.
Beard: Too much Clean shaven: I look like a baby and I'm exposing myself to razor cuts and ingrown beard hair... Essentially I have very sensible skin.
Stubble: Best of both worlds.

If you start clean shaven and try to grow facial hair there will almost always be problems. Grow a beard, then start dating, it will weed out the chicks that are WAY too superficial

Beards are very trendy right now, so I don't see how growing a beard will weed out chicks who are too superficial

HATE IT. Have never been able to have an orgasm from cunnilingus with facial hair. The hair feels too weird against my vagina. That's all the reason I need to convince guys to shave it all off.

Almost every girlfriend I've had has loved facial hair. They just like different styles from stubble to full on beards. The only girlfriend that wanted me clean shaven was weird as hell and wanted me to shave my legs too it freaked me out

I wouldn't really plan on tossing the salad IMO. Sounds unhygenic. Maybe I will try it out, but I am not too keen on it. I respect your sexual preferences tho!

What bush? I always shave but keep a landing strip, at least if I KNOW or suspect I'm going to have sex beforehand I do. A few guys have asked me to grow out my pubic hair, but I've refused, because personally I like the feeling of skin against skin.

I'm very very particular about what I like. One of my exes had a goatee when we met, and he said all the girls liked the tickling sensation when he went down on them. But personally, I could never have an orgasm from it as long as he had that goatee.
Suffice to say, I made him shave it off eventually.

I think you misread my post. I was asking what you (a woman) would think about/care about if a man shaves his pubes. The goatee thing is established to be liked by most women but for a few I think. You happen to be one of them who dislikes it

LOL only reason I asked is cuz I swear you said you were going to bring it back in style within the past year. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/20841077#20841077 I dig the bush. I can't deal with it being clean shaven or stubbly. The hair around the lips can go away though, but the bush on top must stay. I've been trying to tell these chicks to grow it out. My ex settled for a strip. This chick I'm seeing now waxes, which I'm totally against cuz of what I read on its long term effects on the hair follicles..but lately she's been growing it out for atleast a month now

If a lady is nice and attractive and willing to let me go down there, I don't really give too many fucks about her vaginal hair style. I guess if I had a preference though it would be the landing strip.

Seems it'd take longer to maintain the "chinstrap" or many other form of stylish beard clippery, than to shave the lot off.
I've shaved twice in my life, once when I was fourteen.
Wonder how many hours I've saved.

Yes Lors. I can selfy.

Oh god, yeah, you caught me when I was having a 4-month dry spell from sex. Was not sexually active in the slightest around this time. I do grow out a bush if I'm not active.
