Looks a lot like the cyans I found in the dunes near Seaside/Canon Beach. Seemed to remain vaguely conic into maturity intergrading more or less halfway between classic P. cyanescens and the P. azurescens nearby. I wonder if it is environmental due to the tall grass.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it. If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

Yea they look like mini cyans. These things are tiny. Not like how normal pins are either. Never noticed any veil. Usually cyan pins this size still have that webbing. These are very brittle I wasn't able to get a spore print unfortunately.
I've found dune cyans they are usually a little whispier and darker than a woodchip bed cyan but still obviously a cyan. I'll break out the microscope one of these days.
Oh and found these on the bay in Seattle.

You may not have noticed a veil, but this one plainly shows the remnants.

It's Psilocybe cyanescens.
Check to see if it has pleurocystidia just to make sure it isn't something cool like P. liniformans.

Or if you cant do the microscopy yourself, save one or a couple in case of of our regulars would look for you.
If I'm not mistaken it shouldn't need much magnification to see pleurocystidia. I think it might be doable with a hobby scope of the children's sort I used in elementary school
